Advice after computer crash

Hail All!

The day before Thanksgiving my 1-year old computer decided it wanted to die. I tried valiantly to revive it, but alas, I was not successful.

However, I had the foresight to have everything important (everquest and attendant files) stored on an external hard drive. (Yay me!)

However, today, after carefully placing the files in the correct places on the refurbished computer, I now get an error:

"C:\Games\Sony UF\everquest\mss32.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f"

So, my question is, what do I do next?

I don't have the software any longer....

You can check the mss32.dll file size and version, i have 341 Ko (349 696 octets), Version 3.0.0.0
Check also, if you have installed Redistribuable Visual C++, DirectX 9

Download a clean EQ install for test if your do have any problem on your EQ.

Courage, it is so common under windows all this.
Personally, i use a synchro (cloudstation) or unidirectional backup (goodsync) on nas. To make a flash Windows clean reinstallation.
