Unable to trade

Hey, I just started on thf last night. Started with 3 toons, and I tried moving some quest armor materials from one character to another. I’m at work now, and do not remember the exact wording, but I get something along the lines of “character” is unwilling or unable to trade. What do?
P.s. I also tried to trade “1 copper” and got the same message.

There is a box in settings\options you have to check to be able to trade with others

It's been a while but when you first start a character you can't talk or trade for a certain period of time. If you don't have trades off when you get back in you might be able to trade. its to keep people from making characters and advertising and spamming.

I see. Thought it would be something like that. Couldn’t find anything concrete in the rules or support forum.
