Please Help

OS-Win10 , I use to play THF and thought i would come back and start playing , but all im getting is unsupported error from anything ive done , ive downloaded the hole game from my brothers PC onto a usbkey that i know plays but when copied on to my pc the error still pops up when running the downloader , ive even downloaded the stand alone downloader.zip and ran it but still no luck

Please if anyone has any ideas as its driving me mad for the last 3days trying to run it

Sounds like you're just clicking the "eqgame" application.

-You must edit "eqgame" by:
C:/folder/folder/EQ folder/eqgame.exe > right click > create short cut

-Now right click "eqgame - shortcut" and Edit Target section by adding " patchme" to the end.
Example:
Target box should have this in it ["C:/folder/folder/EQ folder/eqgame.exe" patchme]


Notes : [ ] <-is used to depict the text in the "Target" section under properties

*Also, I could be wrong but this is all I can think of if you're not receiving any type of actual code error.


*Edit*

-You will need DX9.. just google "directx_Jun2010_redist" ..download etc etc, you get it.

-If you get a .dll error just google that and download whichever driver is recommended in your google findings. (I don't recall the actual name of the error or the driver needed)

-Don't forget to run the "thf_downloader" too

the problem is THF-Downloader the unsupported message come up when you run the exe it dosent patch or find the server

Maybe check out the THF RoF2 client download. See if the official client works for you. Make sure to closely follow the setup instructions and you should be GTG to play. Keep posting details if you'd still bump into any errors.

Sounds atm more like that is maybe something wrong with you windows 10 install. You can also try to right click on the downloader and see if you can "Run as Administrator"

i ended up just making a eqgame.exe shortcut on my desktop and adding (patchme) to the target line
C:\EQ\everquest_rof2_THF\eqgame.exe patchme .. its been running fine even with 2 accounts at the same time

Now for your thf_downloader, it must be pointed to your everquest folder using the browse button.

Example: "C:\EQ\everquest_rof2_THF"
