Since you used the word "taunt" in your title it leads me to ask.. are you using taunt and if so when? I ask this because taunt is a skill that can confuse some newer tanks. Some assume that the taunt skill is for building up agro when in truth it allows the tank to be at the top of the hatelist by 1 pt.(at least on live.... may function differently here) What this means is it's a great way to regain agro when you've lost it, but if you are already at the top of the hatelist chances are using it is just going to keep your agro down to just above whoever is behind you on the hate list.... allowing them chances to overtake your agro.

Solution.... save taunt for when you need to regain agro or to pull agro away from whoever is your puller.

Not sure what lvl you are but there are a few agro building discs that could help you out on this as well.

This isn't the case (perhaps it is on live), taunt adds an amount determined by various factors, plus any gap between the taunter and the person at the top of the hatelist.

So it's similar.. instead of putting you at the top of the hatelist + 1, it puts you at the top of the hatelist + some. If you're at the top of the hatelist, it just adds some.

You can see this in action by taunting an NPC without attacking, and then have someone else perform another hostile action. A successful taunt adds significant hate. A few tests may be needed, as a small amount of hate is still added on a failed taunt (though if you use a much lower level NPC as a test, the taunt is much more likely to succeed).
