Thinking about donating for the chanter weapon. Just had a couple questions about it.

1. Can the weapon be used at any level and can the dire charm be used at any level?

2. Just wondering if anyone has it and if it is worth it?

Not sure if it can be used at any lvls since i didn't got it till my chanter was lvl70.

Lets say it this way its not worth for all zones however i didn't regret it that i got it and in some zones the DC pet can be a powerful addition.

However you will need to get use to park the pet and keep an eye on the pet most of the times since alot higher lvl mobs tend to summon and you don't realy want to end summoning a mob in a wall or under the ground.

Also DC pet don't currently wipe there agro list so it can happen if someone else pulls the mob you desire to DC, that that person gets summond by the mob.

Yes, the ability can be used at any level just like all the abilitys on all the donator items can be.

So DC pets can't zone with you?

no - just like any chanter charmed pet when u leave the zone the charm breaks

Awhile back I looked at some of the mid-level raid zones to see what could be charmed at level 70 for pets. The choices are there (non-casters at level 70), but a few of them would require luck to find and you'd need to fight mobs to get to them sometimes. So basically that means you may need to work hard if using them to solo or duo with a healer. However, as part of a multi-box crew, the chanter would really shine as a DPS with the donator since it would be easier to find the level 70 non-caster charms.

For example, in Ssra you really want to grab the Shissar Loremaster (I think that is the mob ... Lore-something) as he was the only non-caster level 70 in the entire zone, but he is on the second floor - though you can probably invis to him, I think, so maybe a bad example, but you get the idea).
