Custom Banners <Guide>

Ok, so for quite some time I've seen folks using fun custom banners. It was something way over my head, so I thought, thus I never looked into making one for myself. Well as it turns out its not very hard at all. Here are the sites that I used to put mine together, in about a hours time.
Step 1. Find a photo you like, something you already have or something from the web. Personally I googled "evil clown pictures" Right click on the picture you want and save it to your desktop.
Step 2. Resize your photo. This step takes a bit of planning, you need to know about how you want your banner to look and how much of it you want your picture to take up.
A general guide for sizes, in pixels’ can be found here. http://www.bannercreator.nu/banner-size.html
Now don’t worry to much if your not sure what exactly you want for sizes, you can change it all. My banner is 450x150 that is 450 pixels wide and 150 pixels tall.
So go here: http://www.resizeimage.4u2ges.com/index.asp and upload the photo you have saved on your desktop.
This is the easy part. In my banner I wanted the picture to take up the full height, so I simply set the pixels for "Height" to 150 and clicked on "Resize". This automatically fixed the width for me.
Now save this new picture to your desktop with a different name.
Step 3: Create your banner.
Go to http://www.bannerfans.com/banner_maker.php
Click on "I want to upload my own image" its on the left side under backgrounds. A Upload box will pop up, remember to upload your resized image and click on "update my banner"
Now reset alignment, Height and Width of your banner, with mine I set the height to 150 to match the height of my picture, and the width to 3x that for some text room. As for alignment I had it set the picture to the left side with a default black background for text.
The rest should be pretty easy for you to figure out. Just remember to click on "update my banner" when you want to see the changes you have made.
When you are finished being an artist click on "Download Banner" and again save it to your desktop.
Step 4: Upload your photo.
There are several sites out there that will host your new banner for free. I used http://imageshack.us/
After you upload your banner you will have a range of options on the right side. Under "Embed this Image" copy the link next to Forum.
Step 5: Set up your Banner on THF.
Follow this path on the THF forums. User Control Panel, Profile, Edit Signature.
Simply paste your copied link into this box and hit submit.
Good luck and have fun.
