Unable to give my bot items..

title says it all.. i've tried remaking the bots, relogging, made sure the bots class and the items im trying to give are compatible.. everyone that ive asked (including a GM) was unable to give me an answer as none of them have encountered or even heard of this problem before.. if anyone could help me out i'd GREATLY appreciate it.. as a side note, my cleric bot wastes all his mana healing me because my health bar bobs up and down slightly, even at full health so when i really need a heal, the bots OOM.. kinda lost as far as a solution is concerned >.>

Which client do you use and have you tried #bot help?

Which GM and what exactly do you mean by you can't give them items? Are you trying to trade the item to the bot? Using #bot giveitem? #bot giveitem (slot #)? What race/class is your bot? Which item are you trying to give it? Is there a required level on the item?

Answer those and maybe we can figure this out.

the GM i spoke with was Micah.. the bot i most recently tried with was a dwarven cleric.. ive tried using the #bot giveitem command while targeting the bot and hovering the cursor over the item im trying to give him. i'm using the SoD client and ive got the most recent spell file if that makes a difference. as far as the issue of the bot wasting mana when no healing spells are needed, it could be because my health bar bobs up and down, usually only about 2-4% but i wonder if the drop in health triggers a scripted response from the bot..


EDIT: ive tried several items ranging from the 1-30lvl zone armor quest items (i made sure to try with te class appropriate items to the free armor the npcs armor vendors sell.. not sure why it isnt working

You have to have the item in your cursor, not just hovering the cursor over the item. try that.

Try targeting your bot, pick up the item on the cursor, and type #bot giveitem

well thanks again everyone.. the way it was explained to me was that once you target the bot, you only HOVER over the item and type the command.. ive got everything sorted out now though
