It happened directly after I created a new character. It won't allow me to get pass the loading screen (refer to screenshot if you may). Any assistance is appreciated as I am quite ill adept at trouble shooting
I'm using the HoT client if that helps any.

Unsure if the HOT client is supported here, if on any emulated server.
There is a list of supported clients on the forums:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1763I know eqemulator is currently working on making the latest ROF client supported, but its still work in progress. I doubt any eqemulator server will work with HOT client.

I'd check your game resolution setting. If you go to your eqclient.ini file, open it, and then head down to the [VideoMode] section - what do you see?
Mine looks like this:
Code: Select all
[VideoMode]
Width=640
Height=480
FullscreenRefreshRate=0
FullscreenBitsPerPixel=32
WindowedWidth=1920
WindowedHeight=1009
This is assuming that you play on a 1920x1080 screen. Choose smaller windowed values for smaller resolutions. Can toggle windowed/fullscreen mode with alt + enter.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions
I should have mentioned this wasn't my first character - I've been playing on the server since October. If HoT isn't supported, would it take this long to crash? I'm not the most tech savvy person
My video modes are supported for the 1920 x 1080 screen.

Update: Tried running game with fresh install and still crash. Tried logging in with a different account and the game runs fine. Tried running this account on a different PC and game crashes.
So it seems as if it is something to do with the latest character I made. In which case how do I go about getting the latest character I made deleted, or rolled back?
