Killed by a lowly spider...

For S&Gs I decided to do the old newbie armor quests for a halfling ranger. These all involve getting various bits from the wild life in Misty Thicket. One of the small spiders (not the normal spiderlings, but the other ones) was on my list of targets.

I tracked down one of these guys and promptly slew the beast, but not before he hit me with a poison DOT that hit for 600+ a tick.

Is this normal?

Some "normal" zones are kinda buggy at low level. I remember getting the same problem when I first came to the server and went to Everfrost. Go to custom zones. You will level faster and get better gear. Then if you decide to go to normal zones after, you won't have problem. Just happens at very low level.

I wouldn't say not to go to normal zones, it's always fun to re-visit them but letting us know the zone name and exact NPC name would help a lot to track and fix the issue.
