Ranger DPS

Hello,

Didnt know excatly were to post this so i did it here.

I play a ranger on raids and i must say im verry disapointed with our dps.

Me and anouther rangers dps dosent even come close to what an rogue or a berserker dps is. Even if we put our to rangers dps togather we arnt even close to half the dps one rogue puts out.
And that counts even against mobs that isnt perma rooted.

Im not looking to get a super uppdate on rangers with massive dps, but real atm there isnt much point in haveing an ranger in raid for dps sence we dont even have it.

Sorry for my bad english btw! >D

I upgraded all bows this morning already - should be visible after next reload.

Please let me know how this turns out, preferable dps screenshots (i know someone from evolution does announce the dps after kills) so we can go from there.

Ideally, if a Rog/Zerker does 1k dps, ranger should be around 800-850 dps and not 400. So lets see how we can get there.

A big problem with bows is that they hit low end VERY often. I can't tell you how many times I see Billaski chain shoot for 60 damage using a 52 damage + 3 magic damage bow. Melee have the same problem, the difference is melee fire off attacks like theirs no tomorrow so a few little hits dont hurt as much as they do for rangers.

Here is an SS of me on a ToV mob with my ranger, with the accuracy buff AM 3 etc. He has Dark Wind (Auged) and a 12 DMG arrow.

As you can see theirs a bunch of hits for under 200, and some under 80. He shoots fast, but not fast enough to make up for 80 damage shots.

edit: btw that was the whole mob, the fight lasted 30-45 seconds I would say.

It's much better now with the boosts you gave bows. Elessar/Phorest were topping DPS charts a few fights. (with TS of course) Other fights they weren't too far behind. On a perma rooted mob Phorest did about 330 dps, melee's did 7-800. Although on Vulak Elessar did 660 DPS to our rogue/monks 350 :) AE ramp could have something to do with that! DPS had to back out quite a bit. Our dps have either ToV weapons or epics + emp weapons. Phorest has Bow of the Destroyer, Ele has Bow of Rallos Zek.

On Vulak ? I thought we didn't put him in yet - he doesn't have actual loot btw, so don't bother ;)

haha really? good now i dont feel bad about wiping at 8%. He's definitely in though, in some way shape or form. He was smacking us for 5k without defensive, and very often. He's at or above dain's difficulty in his current form. He was a toughy :)
