Let's get this going for comparison.

Missus - Donor Bow + arrows with Donor Bow Weapon Aug.
I tested 5 min parses on test versus live in the Arena against T8 Dummy Atche. Only buffs were ranger self buffs in Rk II form (Strength of the Wildrunner, Hawk's Talon, Power of the Forest)

Test- 909438 dmg, 3031.5 DPS
Live - 1319197 dmg, 4397.3 DPS

45% ish increase in dmg/DPS the one thing that jumped out was on live I was getting "Your bow shot did double dmg." Looks like 249 times in 5 minutes. 0 of the message on test.

I saw the "Your bow shot did double damage" message on both live and test.

Dragunov has been a drag for quite some time, but his spirits seem to be lifting as of late.

Do rangers get access to headshot here? Tis an AA on live that adds a passive chance to proc a headshot (32k damage iirc) on bow shots to humanoid npcs up to a certain level. Something similar may work well here, if it's not already a thing Kinda like the death strikes from monks and assassinations from rogues.

Was nerfed on live, but only because rangers would gather up 100 mobs and fire off their AE arrow shots, making them the best PLers

Only Headshot rank 1 is available here. No chance of the PoFire sweet spot here.

I can't login atm, but per the magelo, Missus has Headshot rank 1/1 dunno if I've ever seen a headshot hit though.

Ahh, yes. Logged in a friend's ranger for a sec to look. Tis only the 1st rank, which comes at level 62, so you'd probably only be landing HS on humanoids in the upper 40, lower 50's level.

I left a Ranger at T8/Donor bow so its not the best comparison, however, its all that I have.

It is an improvement as the Bards use to beat the Ranger, however, they don't really add much to the raid so probably going to remain on the bench.

Rumors have it that a donored out Ranger is good, however, why would you do that if you could have a donor rog or donor mage instead?

The BP does add a lot to ranger bow dps, but yeah. If yer gonna throw BP, weapon, augs, pants etc on a toon the rogue is going to blow it out of the water I do suppose you can consider it safer DPS though, as they're ranged attacks and much lower aggro, and simpler to run.

Gotta love that they're being looked at though Has long been considered a pretty useless class without a buttload of donors (but then again so are rogues/monks/etc). I'd run a buncha parses but the only ranger I have access to is the definition of ghetto

IIRC the donored ranger I was once grouped with was putting out 250k-ish dps in a mild raid setting.
