Rogue sneak w/ clicks

I was in Chardok today sneaking around (stupid headhunter quest 
) and keeping PH's dead when one of my buffs ran out. I don't get hit by trash too much so I sneaked up behind something and figured I would click and nope not to get hit.
To my surprise, sneak did not break. The hotkey came up as if it came up, but the mob was still invis until I manually took sneak off.
It isn't a big issue, but I guess it could possibly be exploitable? On live when you clicked something it would break sneak.
