Rogueys~

Hey gang,
So I've been playing on this server for a few months now and noticed a lot of people giving feedback on class balancing and what have you so I thought I might try my hand at it. I noticed that other pure melee classes (Zerker and Warrior) when they are close to death they both are able to land crippling blows and do massive amounts of damage to try and avoid death. And so I thought, why don't I have something?! WHY LILLU?!!?!?!
And I cried for 30 minutes, but once I got over that, I came here. Now I don't know if a crippling blow sort of innate ability needs to be done, maybe an innate dodge or riposte ability or something? I could see dodging more as rogues already do that a lot, or maybe an innate weapon affinity type thing? The reason is that I figure since rogues are along the same basis as a zerker mostly, we rely on our weapons to do everything for us. As do warriors but in somewhat of a different role. And perhaps this is something to think about for my monky friends as well, unless they have something already? Ive never played one here, but if you decide on something for Monks, dont give it to Omlee, he doesn't need it. He's a meanie head.

Rogues have an ability to dump a great deal of hate to offset the large amounts they can generate when backstabbing. So unless you're tanking with your rogue your dps is already going to be increased drastically AND you'll have the ability to dump that hate you've generated. I don't think Rogues need yet another thing to help them do extra damage, it's already pretty impressive from what I've seen from parses during raids and grouping.

I don't intentionally tank with my rogue, just when I want to go do things I'm generally soloing cuz either no one wants to go or no one is on or other various things. That's why I said if not more damage than perhaps something like an increased dodge or something of that nature?

Sorry, but as someone who played a high tier raid rogue (meaning with a lot of play time) ... Rogues just don't need it. At least when I played we already were on the high end of the DPS charts (ie in PoFire gear).
I play a Cleric/Rogue combo and have solo'd most of the high end lifetime quests (ie Giantslayer and Headhunter). Perhaps you are unaware that Rogues can solo backstab via circle strafing? It isn't easy to begin with, but with practice will become second nature and you'll immediately add about 30% DPS to your overall numbers. I can guarantee that Warriors and Berserkers don't get 30% from their cripples, etc.

Again, why I said, perhaps a damage mod isn't needed, perhaps something like an innate increased dodge ability or something? If the dmg output is already high, that's fine, just a suggestion and there was more than just damage.
Also, yes this isn't from a higher tiered rogue, so maybe I'm not seeing the bigger picture at the higher zones.

this will require a lot of custom coding, innate abilities its not something you can just GIVE to a class on a whim.

I did not know this and am not trying to make more work for the GMs then they already have, was just a suggestion and from the feedback I'm getting it was a terrible one, so just scrap it. :p

At 53 and 55 you get access to your Counter-attack (forward arc auto-riposte) and Nimble discs (360 degree high % evasion) which can be very useful for getting out of a tight spot. I use nimble+gate clicky myself ... or maybe the counter-attack one. Either way, one of them is long enough to let you get off your gate charm click if you do it quick enough.
Be aware that there was a strange bug that when you gated under the influence of one of those discs that it sometimes gated right back to the spot you were standing and usually resulted in your untimely death. I don't think it was ever fixed, but no one has reported it in awhile.

I dont know about other tanks but personally doing high end raids /me going into a berserker frenzy is NOT something I want to see or a place I want to remain for very long. So there is not alot of dps added there. If your talking about abilities to get you out of jams. BF has rarely done that for me as well. If I have bitten off more than I can chew at this end of the game its just not gonna save your life. As for rogues ability to get out of jams they get skills that enable them to do that already.
