wizard parse - summer 2013

hello everyone. we have had some changes to spell resists and some changes to gladiator and its been a long time since I seen any wizard parses. My wizard sure does die a lot but are all his deaths worth it in dmg? I did a little parse this morning of my wizard Loki - webtools/magelo/character.php?char=Loki

Was a full burn for 1min using all the buffs and debuffs my group has (bard, dru, shm, enc) on Atcho the T1 dummy. 2,024,833 dmg and 33.7k dps using a combo of T8 instants and chaotic destruction and ether flame.
Also did a 3min parse chain casting Ether flame for 19k dps.

Anyone else care to post some wiz data? donor, non-donor doesn't matter just curious.

Regards,
Sticky

Slightly related topic but, is this the rotation that most wizards are using these days?

Ive never considered using ether flame due to it seeming highly mana ineffecient. I knew people used CD as a spam nuke as well but kind of the same situation as Ether Flame for me, but it has a much better resist check.

Are non-donor wizards actually able to maintain mana using T8 + CD + Ether spam? It always seemed way too mana intensive for me. Ive stuck with Core Fire, CD on Gift of Mana procs, T8 Nukes.

I would assume CD spam (on shorter fights) produces much higher dps, but it is sustainable?

EDIT : I do imagine the higher the gear, the easier this would be to maintain. As I am just entering T8 so not fully geared out with no donors.

I just use ether flame since its something to cast when CD is on cooldown, maybe i should be casting concussive strike instead

If i chain cast T8 instants and CD/ether non stop, and use my Immaculate Glowing Black Stone I go oom at exactly 3mins.

Most fights are over before that or have target switching so he doesn't go oom as quickly. The Immaculate Glowing Black Stone is instant and that also helps keep things flowing.

I'll try to get some parsing in on my wiz. She has the donor v2 so mana is 99.999999% of the time not an issue.

I usually rotate through with Tactical Fire, Chaotic Destruction, Concussive strike, 2.0 clicky.

*edit*
Parse 1 - Tac fire, CD, concuss, 2.0, repeat
1 min parse, slayer's destiny rk 2, Sorcerer's Veil Rk 1, gladiator rk 1, donor aura, group caster aura, power potential 3 - druid epic 2 debuff, enchanter rk 1 overbearing power debuff, chanter epic 2 tash, wrath of phantasmist 4 on T8 dummy

10442 dps

same but with adding all 3 instants to mix and an extra concuss
11001 dps
Nodyin-Nilbus-Pockit-Tiah-Rakas- Funeral
Likeatruck-Khaltos-Nilbie-Ziknaf-Prathun-Missus
Elidor
Youme-Yumme-Blazingtide-Sublin-Lissanda-Darmok
Djarik-Ikat-Nerys-Ometi-Tarana-Biln

I know way too much random stuff.

I generally rotate this:

1) Chaotic Detonation
2) T8 Instant Nukes
3) Clicky items (5 of them or so)
4) Twin Cast when it's up
*5) Concussive Strike if there's any down time to fill (although I'm 99% sure Tactical Fire and no concussive is higher dps)

And that's the best dps I've been able to produce.
