Brewing request

I have been working on brewing lately and am trying to figure out how to get near 300, but it looks as though without some additional zones it is not really feasible. Would it be possible to add some items to a brewing vendor? If we had steaming water and taelosian tea leaves availabel in the game (the items are in the database) we could make Glacier Tonic (which eq traders lists as trivial at 303, but eqemu has it at 292). The other ingredients are in the game on various vendors and require a little traveling to obtain, but are possible and would allow brewers to continue to advance in skill without the need to massive foraging camps etc.

Would be nice to see a vendor that sold all of the Taelosian tradeskill stuff. That way there would be an alternate way to get to 300 on most skills. I remember that stuff being a nice way to skill up on smithing, tailoring, brewing, jewelcraft and the rest. Maybe put him on the boat next to the guy that sells celestial essences's.

Keep in mind Secrets' new tradeskill zone she is designing. Sounds to me like it will be a good way to max out (all? some?) tradeskills which is why I'm not touching tailoring for now :)

I was keeping that in mind, thats why I figured adding a vendor would be a good interim solution until the tradeskill zone goes live, that way the vendor could just be removed once the better solution is in place, yet allows us to continue to work in the meantime. I got brewing to 248 and have not found a good way to go much beyond 250 given the current available zones and resources. :-(

isnt the new brewing recipe from PoFire/FG mats 300 trivial?


mind you the chaotic fluids are a pain in the rump to get

I kind of put the chaotic brewing recipe in with the foragig recipes. Not really useful for skillups since it takes so long to get enough materials to really do any work. That's why I said I thought was not feasible until either the new tradeskill zone (which I am very excited about) or a vendor is put in to allow us to work on recipes that can give us skill ups. I think a vendor even if temporary woudl ehlp the tradeskillers on the server a lot.

if you have a enchanter and jewelcraft theres one you can do (takes like 190 jewelcraft and gotta be able to enchant gold bars ( like lvl 24 or 29 or so). think that ones above 300 trivial
