problem with smithing combine for strange armor

i had a message (server cannot recognize the recipe, or something like that)

mats were eaten, and i was unable to leave the combine box

can it be a bug ? (i don't want to risk losing mats again hehe)

Did you place the items in the forge and combine them or did you look up the recipe and try the combine based on what was in your inventory?

Some more specirfics would help us determine the problem. Lot's of people have made the armor in the past so it is likely something in how you did the combines. We just need to figure out what happened so we can look into it. More details would be very helpful.

as strange armor recipe doesn't appear, i use the experiment box, never had problem before

i'm maxed smithing , smithing mastery 3/3

box went 'frozen' , i /quit , relogged back, and only recovered the recipe, lost hammer, the stone and the fluid

maybe someone had a similar problem

This is a bug, you need to search for the actual recipe and do the combine from there. I'm not sure what the name of the recipe for strange armor is, but you can find it on the alla clone easily.

Please search for "ornate".

the only ornate recipes are the old ones : metal rings + silver + smithy hammer and chain pattern.

I can't help any further, I am not able to log in until the LS accepts SoD clients o the alt login is up. Maybe you can find someone else who would be willing to help search. Try asking the Evolution guys if you see them - they're a helpful lot. I know it is there somewhere, I've used it personally via searching.

Someone just seriously needs to write a guide for finding the recipes which don't follow the logical naming patterns (ie. strange/powerful armor, epic augs, etc)
