Thats funny we experienced this today as well. I wasn't sure what to think, I took the time to read the server rules and KS'ing is definitely against the rules.

We were in crushbone and I was contemplating how to break the camp because they were all red cons (had a crazy HP buff made my pally 6.5k HP @ lev 17), and a guy with his toon he's PLin'g walks up and grabs 3 mobs that I had targeted....HoTT would have told him I what I was up to without any need for interaction.

Anyhow, I pulled SkullCrusher (at this point I felt like I was pulling SC "on him") since he cleared the 3 I was going to clear and left the camp... he came back down to look at us kill him after I wasn't sure what he was thinking. We were low enough to go back to the elementals and I definitely didn't want to start a tiff being my second day on the server. Its me my wife and my son 2 boxing a full group though it would have been nice to have that camp instead of him elbowing his way in to PL one toon. Ah well, we'll join a guild soon and meet people and have a blast I'm sure!

I am surprised by how many people do not use hott or know about eqinterface.
However someone being rude in the zone is another thing.
Myself I make it a policy to say hi and offer to group.
Stick around, you will enjoy it. For the most part the ez & p99 crowd stay away or get sticked off.

I'm already blown away at the customizations made possible through EQEmu. I think I'm going to write a quick post on it since its simply amazing work IMO.
