How is Windows 10 going to affect THF?

I want to upgrade to Windows 10, but I'm afraid to lose my ability to kill things on THF. Does EQemu have Windows 10 support on the short list?

As long as the dx9 runtimes can be installed overtop of whatever is there by default, I don't see it being an issue.

I have a MSDN subscription, I could download the Windows 10 Technical Preview and load in up in a VM and test it out.

I installed Windows 10 (Technical Preview) and copied over my EQ stuff.

EQ wont run because of missing DirectX files (ie: This program can't start because d3dx9_30.dll is missing from your computer).

I downloaded this and it fixed that issue: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... px?id=8109

I was able to log into the game, run around the forest, attack the target dummies, zone into the guild hall, all without problems, it seems to work pretty good.

The only issue I had was that if I tried to use my mouse to look around, I was instantly either looking at the floor or the ceiling. I'm not sure what's going on with that I'll look into it more when I get time.

My wife plays on a laptop with a touch screen. She asked "Can i just use the touch screen?" I told her to try it....Results in exactly the same behavior as described above. full up or full down view, wild input with very minute touch inputs.

I bet it is something to do with the UI in W10 and how it corresponds to touch screens even though you are using a mouse.
