So, Chaos...

Hail, Noble Adventurers!
This is not a big deal, but I have a penchant for story-telling, so let me go.
Having time, and a lot of ego, I decided to try Chaos this morning. I have participated in the fight (meaning, watched from the sidelines while someone else did the fight) and felt I could at least give it a go.
It started well (meaning, the zone-in worked and all toons made it in) but then went wrong.
As I maneuvered my people to a staging point Chaos decided to kill a few. I didn't know anything about him running to the edge of the pylons and grabbing people. So, unexpected deaths before I've even gotten started.
I parked my warrior on him to get him off the others, started a cleric going, and tried to rez the few that died while also keeping my eye on the warrior.
I started to lose a few toons as my clerics weren't working well (meaning, both donor hammers were acting up because they are linked to other hotkeys I have)
Inevitably I got everyone in, but many of my DPS pets were dead. (and I don't have the cool stuff to auto buff and equip those monsters)
So, the fight starts, and goes until the reapers spawn. No problem, I ran my sk to grab them, in order to kite. Success, (meaning, I got one) but the others decided to kill a few toons while I adjusted to get them all (meaning, kill a LOT of toons)
Finally I got them off the rest, and kited them for a second until they popped.
Now, many dead toons, lots of absent pets, very low DPS.
BUT, I manage to keep it together, and get people rezzed in and fighting. However, very slow DPS.
Finally, I get to the pylons! Yay, I think, this is the beginning of the end.
Many toons decided to die.
No biggie, rez from cleric BP, and back to the pylon.
Then, duh duh duh.... timeout.
I can't say I was sad, as I was fed up with that fight. Still, I know that killing the pylons wins the event, so I was not happy that I got to that point, only to fail.
What did I learn?
Best to be prepared for the fight before attempting.
Know where my people are as I'm sauntering into a hostile location
Fail faster, or win!
I need to change up my hotkeys.
Thanks for reading!
