Informational pages, guides, etc, consolidation help

Our forums, wiki and website is quite huge now and evolved a lot during the years. It's often hard to catch an old obsolete informational post or guide for us. We are trying our best to keep them up to date but there's always something left to fix or improve.

Please if you see any inconsistency, error or any mistakes in the posted guides, pinned player posts, or even a suggestion you might have let us know so we can work on it. Just post here a link with the issue explained.

It would be much appreciated. Thanks <3

This post and all its comments has been very helpful to me over the years... perhaps it could be revised and updated a tad. Or perhaps even streamlined into a wiki

If someone experienced with multiboxing could streamline it into the WiKi that would be great. We could simple provide links here at the forum to wiki pages (for guides) and make things less redundant and easier to follow up.

edit: hell, this post wasn't even stickied!

We completed the Lightning Lord event yesterday for the first time (never bothered with it before as we'd surpassed the content when it originally launched and only used the zone for the pets; as we're playing through the content from scratch, we're now enjoying the whole zone this time). It was really fun and not particularly difficult to work out but we noticed there's only a stub for the event on the wiki.

I don't have the time to create a proper page for it on the wiki but I have done a basic walk-through if anyone wants to copy it over/use the text to create one? Hope it helps:

Event requirements
We completed this event without any major difficulties with a 2 group raid, geared in T3/T4/T5 gear (main tank fully auged and in T4/T5 gear), no donators (however, we are using Rk. I spells). I imagine it's doable in a single group so long as your tank is well-geared and you have decent DPS/healing.

There are four pre-bosses and a final event boss. The second pre-boss AoE silences, so you may struggle if your tank isn't well-geared.

The event takes approximately 15-30 minutes to complete, depending on your DPS.

Event rewards
There doesn't appear to be a specific reward for the event, but you do get some very nice T5-level gear from all of the mobs in the event. It's also pretty fun :)

Triggering the event
The event takes place in the north-eastern corner of the zone, in a fortress-like structure set into the zone wall. You need to speak with the A Fallen Chimera quest NPC, who is located in left-most room as you enter the fortress. As you kill trash NPCs enroute, make sure one character loots the four quest items you'll need to initiate the quest:

Lightning Dust
Lightning Rod
Lightning Stone
Lightning Core

These all drop (21% chance) off of the lightning protector, lightning loyalist and lightning guardian trash mobs in the fortress. They also drop a nice ALL/ALL earring and a melee ring (8% chance, same table as the quest items). We got the four items easily by the time we'd reached the Fallen Chimera. You only need one character to have the four items.

Speak with the Fallen Chimera and read the quest text. Hand in the four items to it and it'll trigger the event. At this point, the Chimera will despawn (it looks like it has a 24 hour timer, so you can only do the event once a day). It gives you an item that you'll need to start the next phase:

Pre-boss fight stage
Now go to the first of the four pre-bosses, Esger the Lightning Bearer. It's located in the first room out from the Fallen Chimera, to the south. It won't agro, so kill the adds and then give it the quest item you got from the Chimera.

It should start walking as soon as you give it the item. It will walk out to the ramp that leads into the fortress, so you can run ahead and set up there. This is the point the next three pre-bosses will walk to, so you can stay here for a bit.

As soon as it reaches its final spot, engage it (it seems to warp to you, so the tank should re-position it before you engage fully). Once you've killed it, loot up/buff quickly if you can as the next pre-boss is already on its way! Make sure you loot the quest item! You need this to complete the event.

Three more pre-bosses will automatically walk to the same spot. The second will AoE silence and caused us the most issues (not a lot, given our raid setup, but be wary). I'd recommend making sure your tank has an elixir type spell on it throughout the fight, which will help mitigate the silence, which doesn't have a long duration.

Kill and loot each of them. Make sure you loot the four quest items on the same character.

The Final fight: The Lightning Lord

Once all four pre-bosses have been killed and you've looted the four quest items, go into the Remains of the Lightning Lord room (right-most room as you enter the fortress). Hand in the four items to the corpse on the floor. It'll stand up and start walking to the same spot as the four previous bosses, so get back and get ready. It changes into the final boss of the event.

Kill the boss and it'll change into a corpse named Lightning Lord Remains. Target and kill this (it takes one hit) and loot the corpse for its loot:

Thanks :)

I'm happy to copy it across to the wiki. Do I need to set up an account at mediawiki?

I notice the thread here says to PM Noren for an account. Is that still correct?

All done.

I added some basic formatting and made some changes (some corrections and additional information on items/mob names). I also added links to the Alla Clone.

Here it is
