I saw a donar mage pet and I decided I had to get one, but I only have a shaman.....shaman donar BP's do not come with a shaman pet. So, I was looking at donar seasonal package and saw it comes with pets. How do those pets compare to mage bp donar pet? I wish i could see a pet comparison chart. the seasonal pet says "slightly better than tier 9 baza pet, but I still dont know how that compares to the mage bp donar pet i saw in action. I would hate to spend that much donation money and be disappointed in the pet...... Any help would be appreciated.

I tested the Gingerbread one. With best pet focus (if pet foci apply at all to these pets, I did not test ) it had following stats :



It smacked a 50ish seahorse in Sirens Grotto and won the fight



It seems to cast a poison proc but I couldn't see the damage it does (or not) :



However, against the Tier 8 parsing dummy in GH (unbuffed as it makes no sense to mage equip and buff it from a statistical point of view) it didn't exactly shine, and I have worn2 items which strengthen pets :



The main purpose of these pets is probably rather the buff they provide (which has a base duration of six hours), as you can keep the buff even if you dismiss the pet, or you can have your regular pet up and get the buff without the Gingerbread pet (I tested). It is basically a familiar, but it can fight and attack In the exemple of the Gingerbread pet, the buff is idea for a melee dps class :



As you are considering it for your shaman, I will gladly parse it against your shammy pet so you can decide which is better, but before doing that, do a #mystats on an unbuffed freshly summoned shammy pet to check its base stats .

I tested the other seasonal pets, they seems to all have the same stats, and, more important, the same buff, so they are probably more meant for melee classes. But we can do together the parsing tests and see if shammy pet wins

Thank you Lillu, that is kind of you. Now, if I was wicked, which I am not of course, I would ask whether the Gods would consider implementing seasonal pets which woulld benefit also priest and caster classes regarding the buff they give ? Of course, this is purely theoretical

I too was wondering about a buff seeing as the T6/T9 pets have helpful buffs.
