The Hidden Forest

I seem to recall the last time that I played live..whether it was with my titanium client or the Serpent's Spine I can't remember...that some of the old world zones had DX9 over hauls. Oasis was over hauled and merged with SRO and west commonlands was redone as well. Are these supported in SoF? I don't always have the best chronology to client map in my head as I've probably bought EQ about 5 times since launch I tend to lose my discs and then get hit by the nostalgia bug and just get tired of looking for them and end up buying something like Titanium for a low price. hence, why I had a Titanium lying around for this

I really enjoyed the graphic updates to the old zones. Is this supportable in the emulator, but just a personal choice of admins not to include it? Or is it not possible with the titanium or sof client? But I thought SoF was post-Titanium content, but pre-Serpent's Spine? So it should be supported, or not? Like I said, I get confused with all the expacs and client bundles available, but I think it was Serpents Spine that I first saw the "new" oasis and "new" commonlands. I really liked them..whats the chance of ever seeing them in any emulated server?

T. client covers EQ up to Depth of Darkhollow expansion (including)
SoF covers all that T covers + Prophecy of Ro, Serpent Spine, Buried Sea and Secrets of Faydwer.

The following zones were overhauled (from T to SoF):

-Misty Thicket
-Innothule
-High Hold Pass
-Steam Font
-East and West Commons - merged into 1 zone
-Oasis and North Ro - merged into 1 zone
-Nectulus Forest (now at 3.0 version with SoF)

If you running T. client- you obviously cannot access any of the new zones.
If you running SoF client you can access both old and new versions of all zones, EXCEPT old High Pass which was removed from SoF client

The Emu software itself supports all of the zones- thought .map files are not yet functioning for many SoF zones, but being made (Trevis from Emu forums is the driving force behind SoF support)

As far as THF goes, while you CAN use SoF to play here, we currently do not have any SoF specific content, simply cause 90% of our players still using T client, so developing SoF zones is not very productive for us at this time. As more people switch to SoF in the future it will sure become more valid option.

Texture updates that soe released few years back for old zones, are surprisingly enough are NOT included in SoF client. You have to obtain them and install manually from soe website, though process is very confusing. We are looking into providing a stand alone texture update model, but not eta on this yet.
