Caster swords?

Alright guys, one of the things I'm looking at doing atm is creating a few select caster weapons with sword graphics to give you a bit of variance in carrying either a stick or a knife. Inspiration was drawn from a player-created item on live.

The swords will have the 1hb skill attached to them, instead of slashing, thus allowing you guys to use them.

My question to you, is, would this be too confusing, or would you enjoy a new set of graphics for the casting weapons?

I am a big fan of caster melee! However, we'd need to give casters a skill in 1h slash also to make it worthwhile imo.

The weapon can use pierce or blunt skill, and can still look like a sword.
basically 1hb animation is identical to 1hs.

Well, the simple workaround I was going to use for this was just to set the caster slashing weapons to use the 1hb skill, while retaining the graphics and names of the 1hs weapons.

Just checked, easiliy doable to give int casters a skill in 1h slash, similar to 1h blunt.

No, there is a Skillcap table in the datase. Each class/skill/level combo. It's a bit of work to edit that manually, but we don't want Lillu to become bored ;)

Same reason you can't just give Paladin Dual Wield but setting their skill caps there, or even move level when warrior get DW down to level 5.

But, try setting just one of these field for testing to like 100 at level 70 for wizards, then take a lev 70 wizard, and see if you can get a skill increase.

Its possible that very basic skills while can't be raised normally, could be just SET using skill setter npc, given cap is set.
