The Hidden Forest

Brace here, new to the server but not to EQ in general. Played from 1999-2004.

First time playing a paladin, we'll see how that goes. Typically I drift to a pure dps character (rogue) and an sk, but who knows.

I've tried a few different eqemu servers trying to find the right fit and am ultimately hoping to find a home where I can concentrate on one character without needing to box even though the server allows it.

Good to see new faces here in THF. I think you will find that we have a great balance of power for players who want to run solo toons, especially if you end up in a guild that desires that. I know that the guild <Mofish> and <Progeny> do encourage solo play when possible yet are able to box when assisting members get gear or for some raids. I cannot speak for the other guilds on the server as i am simply not that familiar with them.

The LDoN's on this server are very much geared towards solo players as well and being able to have a bot does help with the healing (most of the time) and or dps depending on what you choose. Everyone is very friendly and if you have questions they are almost always answered when asked /ooc.

If you have any problems the GM's are amazing and work very hard on making this the best server to play on. Any concerns or complaints you are best served by posting them in the forum or direct PM to Lillu and Tyler. They respond in a very timely manner and truly care about your imput. I have not found GM's anywhere who care more about their players and providing a great place to play.

Shade said it in a good nutshell. Welcome Brace. Typically I dont have time these days to raid since I work nights and some days. This server is definately solo friendly, but there is still group/raid content above that if you desire. Besides the great custom 3x exp main line of adventuring, there is the Alt-P line(Alternate Progression), where its 1x exp, but its balanced for solo+bot play with a unique storyline, and is still in developement. You just have to create a character and leave it with nothing from the forest, talk to the queen to get the gift, then see the Alternate progression NPC. Dont forget to check out the Allaclone for researching, and Wiki. Anyhow, have fun!

Welcome to the server. I have been in and out of the EMU community for the better part of 8 years now and this is by far the best server i have ever played on.

Theres a great mix of solo/group/raid content, with more solo/group content in the works (according to a little hint drop from Lillu) Just looking around the forums you should see that the dev's are in constant contact with the community. Constantly seeking feedback and comments, as well as help when needed testing something.

Its a great community too, there are guilds out there such as <Mofish> who encourage solo play in anything progression, but there are alot of guilds out there for the hard core boxers. Whatever you might be, whatever your play style im sure you will fit in great.
