repop on thieves

Hi,

I understand the idea of original eq and i suggest to add the book while medding.

5 min repop for 3 mobs that last 10 sec is a bit old fashion...

2% drop rate that mean that u need to spend 1h30 to get an augment if u are lucky and only like 8 camps for a complete server...

Can you at least change repiop to 2 min or 1min 30?

Last year i spent around 6 days trying to get a red ornament. I ended up buying one for a million PP off of someone.

Have to agree here. Was a bit disappointed to see that there were only eight camps with three mobs each to get augs. On top of that, when one person has three of the eight camped literally the whole day, the situation is worsened. (Not that I blame him)

Maybe I was just spoiled by the loot availability during the halloween event, and if that is the case and the devs wanted loot to be more scarce and difficult to get, that's okay.

But, the augs are camped and the raid event is much, much more difficult.

Speaking of which, while I like challenging raid events, maybe the "levels" should be accurately re-assessed. The "T1" level polar bear king is at least t3 or t4 difficulty. When the guards are up, the damage done to a tank would grind a t1 geared tank into fine paste.

Are we talking about the goblin thieves? The chances for aug drop is 3%+. With 3 mobs in a camp, 5 mins repop, 8 camps for 2 weeks timeframe that's 12096 poor goblin thief corpses and around 363 augs. I think it's pretty fair for one of the best augs in game?

363 sounds like a lot.
The reality is that some players will literally camp until all 6 - 10 of their toons have one of each type of ornament. So those 363 will be concentrated in the hands of a relative few. Hey, its great that there are hardcore players whose lifestyle allow them to play literally all day every day. Every server needs them, they are generally very helpful and generous on this server, and I'd love to be in their shoes. I can't do that, though.

I loved the halloween event because I could fit it into my schedule and my level of time committment = my level of reward, regardless of how much MORE time other players have to play. With this event I log in, see camps are taken, and log out.

I'm not arguing against contested zones/events AT ALL! I'm just arguing against severely contested events that last only two weeks. Can't find Miragul up? No problem, it'll be there eventually. Just be patient. With this event? Done in two weeks.

I know I'm not telling you anything you don't know, though. Just one person's opinion. You devs have a great server here.

Alright. Respawn time reduced to 2 mins. That's actually 1/3 of what it was.

Funny how no one complained about this last year and sucked it up.. I think it was fine the way it was and your talking to someone who hours among days the way it was at 5 mins.. event may only last 2 weeks but there not there for everyone to get every aug on all toons and besides there's always next year.
