Question

Im running Win7 on Parallels 8 on my Mac. Now when i move around in EQ, all seems fine however when i go backwards, i do that veeerry slow, even though I'm not encumbered or anything. I even killed myself (threw myself at Chuck Norris) to make sure i don't have some weird bugs but didn't help.
I don't really think it has anything to do with me running this on Parallels, but i thought can't hurt to include this fact.
So any idea guys?

p.s. im not sure what version of EQ I'm running, i just had an Everquest folder in my backup hehe. Any easy way like a file that tells me what I'm running? It's not Titanium.

Have you got the latest custom files?

I run SOD on all my clients, and I have no issues with running backwards. Have you thought about getting a real PC and not a MAC?

Possible suggestions:
Allways just use bootcamp and run it natively?
Increase the amount of video ram within parallels?
Most hypervisors give the graphics bare minimum, need to increase the video ram I would have thought to make the biggest improvement.
Also try running optionseditor.exe in the SOD folder, try turning off new models. Turn off pixel shaders within EQ options.

I never had issues running SOD either, that's why I'm skeptical about Parallels, too. However i can move forward, strafe, jump etc all fine without any problems so i doubt it's that. It's as if i was snared or encumbered. You can barely move backwards.
