Alt Progression - Suggestion

Hey Chaos,

I'd like to do some fun little guild events with the warrens, any chance of keeping the zone locked for another week or two?

My monk is real close on the contest but I don't honestly want the reward, I'd rather it go to someone else. But, it would definitely be fun to do groups of people in there on new characters before it gets opened up to non-level 1 perma-farmers. In all honesty I think opening the zone to non-level 1's would be a bad idea in general.

Also, are we going to see spawn or drop rate increases after the contest finishes? As it stands now it seems to take about 17 hours to do what is required.

Yeah- take the vote! =)

Also, I have re-arranged some of the drop ratios and twiked crafting reqs a bit to meet the demands of whats needs to be crafted. Actually 17 hours is good - I was planing with 20-25 in mind given slow Xp and all
Of course I didn't expected that people would hit lev 30 and still be running around trying to complete remaining quests.
BTW - would be nice if people would rank the quests in warrens in terms which are hardest/take longest to complete. (say 1 is easiest and 10 is hardest)

PS
Lillu/Tyler - perhaps we should join all THREE of the threads related to Alt-P into 1?

OR - better idea- how about a separate Forum for all things related to Alt-P?

I found whats the problem with Rungupp final step - Talk to Rungup has Warrens listed as zone, while it should be Paineel.

Also, Gorri Goldstein quest - he does NOT remove the items from you after you complete the quest, while he should. May as well check the rest of the "collect" tasks to make sure that items are removed at the end (note: don't remove more than quest asks for, in case players collected more than needed, so he can sell the rest)

Both fixed, however atm I use quest::collectitems( for item nuking, and it nukes em all.

quest::nukeitem(itemID, itemnumber) works now? Last time I used it was buggy.

I will check in game.

Also: to those who currently doing Dorell ironfist Quest, the 1st part about finding 9 Forlorn item: we are easing it up a bit, so if you haven't turned in all of the items yet, you may want to hold on to them till next server reboot. The task will be reduced to only 6 items, and the 3 items excluded will be altered a bit to address the "too many evil" items. They will remain same type of items as they are, but their name and classes who can use them will change (more classes will be added).

Also:

-added Enchanting Elixir to the Jeweler vendor in Paineel for new augment making recipes (somehow it didn't made it there the first time)
-Number of raw materials for Tailoring and Augments have been reduced by 25% (from 4 to 1 combine, to 3 to 1)
-Lowered the levels on some of the higher end mobs in warrens for smoother level curve: the 5 bosses are down to 24 (from 25) and Mugy/Paw down to 25 (from 27)

Another Task related issue. I am doing Zinda T'Kos task on one of my char, and I got update that I completed the part to collect 100 bones. For test purposes I then SOLD one the bones to go down to 99 - but task window still saying that that stage is DONE.

You may want to add to all collect tasks command to REMOVE items from player as soon as collection stage is completed to prevent potential exploits =)

I don't want to start another thread so I'll just pop in this one, it's more of a question than a suggestion.

I am happy that the alt-p zones will remain locked, and that you plan on not allowing any gear brought in from "outside", and the elimination of farmers is always good, tho I've never encountered any farmers?? I digress, big surprise eh?? But what about backpacks? Ye gods, the starter backpacks are so heavy and limited on space, it makes my baby alts cry. Whereas my tailor-type from Outside can occasionally make those cool Tae Ew Sacks which are weight-reducing and give more space and yeesh, I gotta have em, they are kind of like Pokemon!!!

So could utility items like backpacks be brought in via illicit courier or would those items be worthy of banning a baby alt into the boring pits of....ok I havent met any boring zones on this server, but do you get my drift??

I so need more coffee....
I need a scorecard to keep track of all of my alts!!
Kymarrah/ Mierrie/ Cialla/ Dhaani/ Bellabee
and so very many more....
