Preparing for Stonebrunt Openng Contest
Posted: Tue Jul 27, 2010 4:06 am
Stonebrunt is almost ready to open, and as Warrens we will hold a special contest for reward first few who can beat it!
The rules for Stonebrunt, as for entire Alternative Progression are still the same:
-Only legit Alt-P characters are allowed
-Only items and gear found inside Alt-P zones is allowed
-Each player only allowed 1 char +1 bot (no boxing!)
If you fail to meet this requirements you will disqualified from contest.
The goals:
In order to achieve victory you must complete the following goals:
- You must complete Karn Ironfist quest for Bronze Champion Neckchain (you need to have Iron Champion Neckchain from Paineel quest completed to have access to this quest)
- You must complete Stonebrunt Mini-Epic class quest for Spirit Gem, from one of the 2 npcs: Lin Peyan Alouki (Kejek faction)) or Warchief Arach (Snowfang faction)
- You must craft and enchant at least a single Spirit Infused Weapon for your character.
There is almost a dozen of other quests there, as well as access to new crafted gear, and they can help you along the way, but they are not nessesary to complite for the contest.
The Rewards:
The reward system is following:
-the VERY FIRST player to complete the contest will be awarded one and only unique title "Lord of Gloomfire" and UNIQUE one time only reward item.
after that:
-the next 3 people to complete the goals, who took Kejek quest line, will be awarded the title "Prowler of Stonebrunt" and a special reward
and
-the next 3 people to complete the goals, who took Snowfang quest line, will be awarded the title "Dweller of Gloomdeep" and a special reward
What you may want to know:
Stonebrunt is a land of conflict, between Cat race of Kejek and highland kobolt race of Snowfangs, as well battleground between ancient spirits, and heretic invaders.
The only path to victory leads by allying yourself with one of the factions: either the Kejek or the Snowfang.
When you enter Stonebrunt for the first time, you will find quest npc representing each of factions, not too far from the entrance. Each of the will offer you to join their side. Please note, that once you accept, there will be no reverting of this, and the other faction will hate your guts to eternity
So choose wisely.
Kejek favor druids, rangers, elves, and specially Vah Shir. They dislike necros, shadow knights, ogres, Trolls and Iksar.
Snowfang favor Warriors, Beastlords, Shamans, Ogres, Trolls, and they HATE Vah Shir
But its possible to get your self aligned with either of them regardless of your race/class.
Important note, that each faction offers you access to unique line of crafted weapons and few other items, which are not available from the other faction. These item choices are not equal for all classes. but not terribly dis-balanced. But let me just say that Paladins will find more weapon options with Kejek, while Shadow Knights will find more options with Snowfang. I let you find out the rest on your own
Crafting Secrets:
Unlike it was done with warrens, there won't be detailed guides how to craft new items. But as a hint, if you find something in game that looks like a crafting material, use the Ala-Clone to see if there is any recipes its used in
Well, thats about it, and get yourself ready, contest is just a few days from now
