I know Chaos is no longer working on Alt-P, however i just recently started dabbling in it, i just got to stone brunt and talked to Urchun to ally myself with the snowfangs. So i went to talk to the leader like he said and the leader wouldn't talk to me, so i went back to Urchun thinking i may have missed something, he now says that i have allied myself with the cats, but i've never talked to any of the cats. I'm dubious with both sets of tribes. Is there anything i'm overlooking?

Start killing the cats, iirc once you ally yourself you become kos to the opposite side and at the same time factions are to low for the ally to want anything to do with you until you build up the factions.

atualy the quest npcs on neither side check for your actual faction with them.
the vendors won't trade with you if you dubious, but you can still do quests, if you choosen their quest path.

so talk to both ambasadors again - see which one will recognise you as friend.

in a worst case scenario, if there is a bug, Lillu knows how to reset the quest chooce path

he is correct although i havent dont much investigation in this here is what ive came across so far,

enter stonebrunt and run over to talk to the ambasador kobold - Ding! Allied with kobolds,

re-hail ambasador you get: I have learned you chosen to ally yourself with the cat-men bla bla Begone!.

so just to sum up any recent changes we only added a few defines to the globals this changed nothing with the replies or factions set that im aware of it just stopped uninitialized errors in the logs

ill look into this a bit more when i get a minute, im by far not an expert but im getting pretty good at them hard parts figuring out the storyline for when and when not to reply to who at what time

this is exactly what had happened, i had never talked to the cat people, first person i talked to was urchun. before i finished the dialog with him, I came to the forums to find which side would be best and found chaos's post about checking the weapons and which vendor sells which pieces, so i did and found a weapon i liked on the kobold vendor, so naturally i allied myself with them. Immediately after talking with urchun i ran to the kobold leader and he wouldn't talk to me at all , figured i was at wrong camp, ran around zone looking for another camp, finally ending back at urchun, who, when hailed again, said i had allied myself with cats. At this time i still had not talked to any cats or killed anything but gorillas/pandas in the zone as they aggroed on me while running around. After i posted my initial post, i started killing cats and got KoS with them. Now i can't approach their camps without getting aggro and the kobolds won't talk to me either (faction hasn't moved off of dubious at all)

Well, you are prolly flagged now in the db being ally with cats, but you became kos to them.
There are 2 solutions:
- you either start to kill dogs and become ally, then will be able to talk with them and continue the quest line
- or PM me to reset your flag

Went through tonight and re-wrote the whole kobold side, used the same story, items and task ect that part didnt change.

so when you get a chance run through check it out to see how it works, if alls well ill redo the cat side.

what ever you did Mikuz worked, the kobolds are now responding and gave me the tasks to assist them. Thank you both for your help in this.

I love the way Mikuz works. He doesn't waste time on debugging, simply rewrite the whole questline. <3
