Ambidexterity

Could be a possibility this AA is lowering DPS. I say *could* because I can only say I'm 95% sure I have the same buffs for both parses.

Without Ambidex, w/max flurry/ferocity/combat fury/ 1596 dps

With Ambidex, w/max flurry/ferocity/combat fury/ 1388 dps

If anyone is able to test this, give it a quick look.

Those DPS runs are from GAM parse btw, this is how they look in YALP with some interesting info alongside:

1596.49 dps, Attack Delay 10, Accuracy 77.53%
1387.71 dps, Attack Delay 10, Accuracy 78.23%

Checking again after a good night's sleep, some of that data isn't quite right.

For the non-ambidex parse you have:

5.01% max non crit DI hit #1
11.27% max crit DI hit #1
8.86 max non crit DI hit #2
22.19% max crit DI hit #2

For the ambidexterity parse you actually have:

3.43% max non crit DI hit #1
8.09% max crit DI hit #1
6.32% max non crit DI hit #2
13.05% max crit DI hit #2

Hits #1 and #2 are obviously from the different weapons in the DW setup.

If you're able to refund my ambidexterity AA on Kosmo I can do another parse run in a more controlled fashion, let me know.

I went back over to GAMParse and noticed something else, in the non-ambidex parse I was hitting 5 flurries per minute. In the ambidex parse I was only running at 3.8 Flurries per minute.

I just did a Ranger test (I generously wasted 9 AAs, but it is double xp weekend!). The circumstances are different since, the line up of effective AAs is somewhat different to what I have on the Warrior, but the results are much more solid here, if somewhat disappointing for 9 AAs with Sune buffs alone.

Ranger Ambidexterity Test (expected reference dps increase 6%)

Effective DPS AAs: Ferocity 3 / Combat Fury 6 / Precision Of The Pathfinder 3 / Veteran's Wrath 3

test #1 sune buffs = 490dps in 760 seconds
test #2 brells off, Howl of Predator, Strength of Hunter, Champion's Perseverence, Talisman of Might, ON = 604 dps in 706 seconds
*bought ambidex, zoned out and in*
test #3 sune buffs = 503 dps in 761 seconds (2.65% dps increase)
test #4 brells off, Howl of Predator, Strength of Hunter, Champion's Perseverence, Talisman of Might, ON = 645 dps in 706 seconds (6.79% dps increase)

Just to conclude my personal wall of text. I've been back parsing the Warrior trying variations and piling up dps buffs as much as possible, but I can't get near the pre-ambidex parse of 1596dps - baring in mind that parse is over 1510 seconds (25 minutes).

The only buff I can use to get close to matching it is my Shaman's 1.5 click. However, the parse I have for 1596dps shows no magical hits for 425 or crits for 850.

(webtools/spell.php?id=8457 epic power from webtools/spell.php?id=6241 is the proc).

So I still think the way Ambidexterity effects Warriors warrants some investigation. You'd think it's possible some wild atk boost might have an effect, given that the attack delays remain the same, the accuracy is fairly consistent (infact, in the initial parse Kosmo is more accurate at lower dps). and the min + max hit remains the same.

Also Vlad has 0 AC so the point at which you would reach diminishing returns for extra atk would end up being pretty low.
