Feedback/Ideas: Tier 6-Tier9 Ldon system

So I've been thinking about a way to increase my fun, and be able to group with some of my Friends in other guilds and the best solution I've come up with is another Tier of Ldon raids.

Would it be possible to create another Tier of Ldon Raids that are tuned to 12 toons where the difficulty would be from Tier 6 to Tier 9?

Pre-flags to do them could read the Current flag system. DSK1 Flag allows you to do up to Tier 7, HOH quest completion or killing Xeru grants you access to Tier 8 etc

Npc's to start the Ldons:

Whatwhat1: Normal: (Tier 6 Ldon Raid) Hard: (Tier 7 Ldon Raid)
Thatthat1: Normal: (Tier 8 Ldon Raid) Hard: (Tier 9 Ldon Raid)

Ldon Points:
Tier 6: 75 Points
Tier 7: 100 Points
Tier 8: 125 Points
Tier 9: 150 Points

Loot: Various Augmentations, Weapons, pieces of armor appropriate to the difficulty, Fun items etc.

I'm picturing an Ldon Raid that would take about an hour once you knew the mechanics with 2 to 3 bosses per Instance with a 3 hour time limit on the Ldon. These can vary from 1 boss, 2 mini bosses + boss etc. Maybe mini bosses could drop augs, final boss could drop loot.. I dunno.. just thinking outloud at this point.

A system like this would allow the players to group up together instead of trudging along alone. I know I'd love to be able to group with some of the other players without having to drop my guild and join theirs (for reasons that I play with my Son and some of the guild banter is a bit mature for his eyes). It would also allow me to group up with people who dont bot 2 groups of people to progress, thus helping them strengthen their toons as well.

Another Idea I had was something similar to Southern Karana, but a bit beefier with Giant mobs with tons of health that required people to group up to kill.

Idea for the boss would be:

Boss is Rooted. Every 2 minutes he spawns 5 adds that are rooted until they Enrage.. at Enrage you have to move them near the boss and kill them.. They explode and damage the boss 1 percent each. For every mini boss that dies outside of range of the big boss, everyone on the mini bosses hate list gets Death touched. I figured Vaion would like that :)

At any rate, I thought I'd throw the idea out there.

was thinking some more on this...

In reality it can be expanded to cover all Tiers. The current ldon group instances are targeted at people who just hit 70 and have a few aa's as far as I can tell.

So up the difficulty, 2 ldon group instances per tier and 2 raid (tuned for 12) instances per tier.

Tier 1 - Ssra Level
Normal Ldon - 2 instances
Hard Ldon - 2 Instances
Normal Raid Ldon - 2 Instances
Hard Raid Ldon - 2 Instances

8 Instances per tier, 9 Tiers, 72 new Ldons! Woohoo!

Coffee just kicked in.

Something else you could do with the Ldon system is Put current raids into Ldon as well.

Right now you cant cross guild most of the Raid zones, but you COULD add them to Ldon and allow pre-formed raids to use the Ldon system to raid them. This would also allow multiple smaller guilds to party together and run them together.

I'd put a 20 hour lockout on the ldon though once completed (not sure of the technical issue here, but I think Vaion just sighed)

I doubt that would be a real option doubt its even possible without major customization , + if it would be added i would think it would also affect the lockout time from the normal Raid targets to prevent bigger guilds to do the same raid more than once in the normal lockout time.

However i think since on Live where LDoN Raids it might be that they could be added here possible even for the next Epic (considering at least the Paladin 2.0 on live had one part in a LDoN raid).

I think the only way to make guild really work together is limit the zone to one char per ip, this way people would be forced to team up against raid content. Well I already suggested a non-boxing zone already in an other thread :p

I think Vaion already has way too much work with the return of the shissar / 3.0 / 3.5 to start working on new ldon stuff
