Tower of Sol Ro

I enjoy the LDON system, and I really enjoy the 5000 kills quest inside of the Tower of Sol Ro.

The major down-side to the way the system is set up currently is that you only get a few LDON points here and there inside of the tower - so an extensive amount of time has to be spent running LDON's to get the gear needed to upgrade on top of doing the tradeskills.

I would really appreciate it if minor adventure tokens could be added to the loot table inside of the Tower of Sol Ro, and for the purchaseable-via-points gear/diamonds to drop inside of Sol Ro. I do not think this will negatively impact the balance for the 15,000 point type 1 armor-slot-only augment "Tear of the Orc", item 121654.

In fact, making the "Tear of the Orc" more readily attainable would only put the Fiery Iron Breastplate at about 300ac and around 1200hp, depending upon whether or not you are able to get enough points as well for "Bloody Skullcracker's Glass", item 17840, to use as your type 8 augment.

Considering that the "Symbol of the Hidden Vale" is 4750 points, and the two types of Skullcracker's Glass slot 8 augment are 1500 and 4000 points respectively, simply getting that earring and putting it together properly costs 10,250 LDON points.

A single piece of non-upgraded LDON armor will cost 5000 LDON points, if you are going to use the best type 8 augment and the best type 2 augment available for the LDON armor.

Due to the extreme amount of points it requires to purchase the LDON equipment and the fact that it most benefits people who are not being carried through t8 content for God Points, but allows people who are not being carried through t8 for God Points to actually fight their way through the content one-grouped *IF* they are able to maximize via LDON all their LDON gear, it only makes sense to increase the LDON point gathering process within the Tower.

As it stands for the moment, I have to choose when I get to play whether to go to Sol Ro or whether to run the LDONs. I end up running the LDONs and doing very little Sol Ro because I still need an exasperating amount of points total for full LDON gear:

160,000 LDON points for a full set of armor (helmet, gloves, boots, wrists, chest, legs), and 10,250 LDON points for just one earring. This does not include any other slots whatsoever which are available from the vendor.

Adding in a significant boost to the point-earning process inside of Sol Ro would contribute considerably to the viability of earning and using the LDON gear.

For me, this is important, because my first goal in-game was to get the Giantslayer title and full Kael armor. I was going to upgrade it at Shadowhaven; however, there are substantial modifier losses when upgrading that way. So I would like to do the LDON route and Sol Ro; by the time I complete the 5,000 Sol Ro kills, my single group (rng, enc, shm, clr, pal, dru) should be 100% completed on AA's. I would enjoy it if the gear acquisition portion of this attempt was attainable via the Tower of Solusek Ro.

Thank you very much.

Er, the Tear of the Orc is the best type 1 augment. The other augments you buy off the vendors are type 2.

My apologies for not proof-reading properly.

Just a question.. would you go to LDON zones if you could just farm LDON points in Tower of Sol Ro?

Yes, I most certainly would because LDON zones are the best place to farm up plat.

A lot of times when I only have a little while to play, I just jump on and do one or two LDON runs.

You also have to consider that in order to purchase the item from the LDON vendor, you have to have that many points earned. You can have more points to spend than you have points earned and not be able to buy what you see.

If your concern is that people would stop using the LDON zones for farming points and do Sol Ro exclusively, you can simply set it so the points earned have to come from world boss "adventure tokens" or from the LDON runs themselves. And getting to 15,000 points earned is quite a grind.

On Eustace I have 254 LDON completions. That's 7970 points earned. Even if I had the 15,000 points for Tear of the Orc, I couldn't buy it. I still have to run 250+ more LDONs.

I'm fine with that as long as it's easier to farm up the points to spend versus the total earned.

Unfortunately we can't set this, can't distinguish where points are coming from.

When you vendor an LDON item, it goes into your total spent. It doesn't go into the total of the points you've earned.

When you run an LDON, it adds to the total you have to spend and the total you've earned. When you turn in an adventure token, it also adds to both your total earned and the total you have to spend.

Essentially what I'm asking is if you can have the type 2 vendor augs and the regular armor pieces themselves drop in the Tower of Sol Ro. This way you still have to run 500 LDON's in order to get the 15,000 total earned to purchase Tear of the Orc; however, you do not have to run 6,000 LDON's in order to get a full set of armor, and *then* go to Sol Ro to upgrade the armor. When you vendor a piece of armor that drops in Sol Ro, it would then add to the total pool of LDON points you have to spend without increasing the total pool of points you've earned from doing LDON's.

There are other ways of earning Ldon points, farming World Bosses for example. I do understand your point tho, it's just we don't want to easen the way players earn Ldon points/armor, it's been like that for quite a long time with no complains. Hope that make sense. <3

As stated above easiest way to earn ldon points is worldboss kills which are quite easy up to like tier 4. Can get harder as they go on. The tokens for me use to drop 50/50 off each named id at least get 3 to 4 out the bunch. Also do the guide events goblin for random items and stuff.
