When selling back augs to the vender, it shows the points going up, but the merchant does not recognize that number as being legit.

I have 300 LDON points after selling, but shows earned 285. Merchant won't sell me the 300 point spells as they are shaded out.

to OPEn (un-shade) the ldon items, the points have to be EARNED via adventuring in the specific theme ONLY - sell backs do not count for that

Then what exactly are the sell back points used for? Shouldn't they count towards the same points as earned points since it's all the same?

I see what you mean, since it was not the specific zone that I looted them in, which they are sold for, it doesn't count. Gotcha.

if ever played LDON on live, you should remember that:

-to get to say 300 point mark item in Guk - you HAD TO hunt in Guk. Getting 300 points in EF would only open you 300 point items in EF. You can STILL spend the points you got anywhere you like, but ONLY up to the line you have earned in that specific theme only.

So the points you get from sell back are un-assigned, but they can be spent on anything that you have already uncovered.

I'll just take your word for it. I thought THF's LDoN was all the same rujark points, and therefore it would all be the same theme, so I didn't understand why the sell back points wouldn't be just as useful as the earned points.

it's correct.

the question is, where do you get the points into? it should all go to Ruj theme.

what I am trying to say that points from sell back are NOT earned, from system perspective.
Hence they don't go towards theme count, but towards general pool

Ok, I understand now, though. I guess I was confused as to the wording, but I see now that you have to earn enough points to unlock the items that are sold at that point level. You could have 800 points from selling back items, but 200 points earned and only buy items that are at 200 points or less.

you if you got 300 points from adventure and 300 points from sell back, you get buy 2 items at 300 points each, but you cannot buy a 301+ point items, cause you only earned UP TO 300 points (but you have 600 to spend)
