Started a collection killed 5 mobs and zone crashed. group was disbanded and when i returned the mobs i had pulled were gone. Ran the rest of the zone and got 19 of the 20 pure ices. Never found the 20th. Left the adventure, restarted and went back into zone carefully pulling 3-5 at a time. Same thing 19 of the 20 never got the 20th.
EDIT: Tried 2 more times in a row doing collection and had the same results each time. 19 of the 20 dropped. was in Spiders Den zone for almost 30 mins each time looking for the 20th drop. never got it
If you didnt need ldon points to get certain things i would honestly NEVER do ldons

I am not sure if you know or not know, but you basically need to know exactly wich mobs drop the collection pieces, however yes sometimes you will get a bugged instance directly in the beginning when you loot the first collection item and it don't count its a good sign.
I am not exactly sure if its the reason or not but i think that when they don't count you are mostly in the wrong instance considering that when you attempt one as a group, the first person that zones into a wrong instance while the rest of the group get into the right instance.

I think the design is flawed, personally. The first 20 npcs spawned in the instance seem to always have the collection items needed, and anything beyond that in the zone will not have a piece.
That pretty much means as Nexor said, if the first npc you find doesn't have the item, then you can assume that the instance is bugged.
It should be designed with a more randomized approach, forcing you to hunt down the 20 items throughout the zone, similar to the original live design, instead of killing the first 20 mobs you find and being finished. That seems too linear and simple and doesn't really give way to the dungeon crawling aspect that LDoN was designed for. There should be a limited chance of said item to drop off each npc in the zone, so luck of the draw would determine how quickly you can finish the dungeon. This means that you could very well finish in 20 straight kills if you are lucky enough, but could mean that you'd have to clear the entire zone to finish, with the possibility of having to wait on respawns if you are extremely unlucky (worst-case). Of course, the percentage could be as simple as 50% chance, ensuring success without having to actually clear the entire zone, but still require a hefty crawl through the zone. I mean, the fact that people can pull the first 20 mobs, and very easily AE kill them, loot their 20 pieces, and not even have to leave the front two rooms/hallways of the dungeon is downright ridiculous and I don't believe is exactly what the developers intended or hand in mind when LDoN was released on THF. I could be wrong though, as I am quite often.

Actually i mean you zone into the instance pull the correct mobs and kill em, start looting and all the collection items will not count.
In other words you loot all 20 collection items but don't get credit for any of em.

Ahh, I haven't encountered such an issue, yet, so thanks for clarifying. I've had issues where the first steps into the ldon have mobs without the items on their corpses. It seems like the collection items are "assigned" to only the mobs starting at a certain point in the zone and are distributed to each mob moving in a certain direction regardless of the zone's actual map design and stop being distributed once there's 20.

Each time i was going in with just my tank and rogue bot to clear the zone and there didnt seem to be any issues at first. Ran 2 LDoNs no problem and the the 3rd I crashed. Now i think that it was because of the glitch that causes the zone to crash if too many mobs died to fast. It was after that I couldn't get it to work and each time i showed 19 of the 20 on all my other group members and yet the 20th piece never appeared.
Devs, Any chance that you can simple add an extra 20 random drops of the item for each zone, that way if you do crash or something else crashes the server when you log back in and there is still time that you can complete your objective? I hate to spend 40 mins in a zone to not get my measly 25 points cause of one missing piece.

I think the problem you might have with when u can only get 18-19/20 is that the rog bot might got hit by a spell by a mob took off and killed it in a wall or under the ground before the mob came to you.

This has happened to me many a times specially in the one that you have to collect the ice drops. I have run and looked everyone and have found a part of a foot in the wall and was not able to loot it, That is simply why WHEN i do LDoN i only do the food quest, it is faster, really not much room for mobs to be in wall and can all be pulled to the first platform for easy kill and loot
Just my 2cents

Cool,
Thanks for all the feedback. Ill try that Ldon Differently or without a bot and see if that prevents this from occurring. I still feel that making the mobs have more of the items would eliminate thsi problem all together but I know the Devs are busy elsewhere
