The issue, is that it's still your opinion. This is your perception of an event with another person, it's all up for interpretation and this sort of thing usually just leads to drama with people defending themselves or telling their version of what happened. An open forum isn't the place to air out dirty laundry, a PM to a GM with a report of someone breaking the rules, or a PM to the person to try and work through the problem is the correct manner in which to resolve an issue like this.

I could come post that stickybuds trained me in chardok on tuesday, but it holds no merit or fact, and I have no proof of that, and it's probably going to upset you, wether it happened or not. I just don't see the point in coming to the forums and name dropping someone who trained you, it does nothing beneficial for the forums or community.

ummmmm SOOO much to say here but this forum is not the place for it. This is a HoH advice topic. But as i stated before and will again i think, and would like to see a forum topic for such post Right Wrong or indifferent. We all have our opinions on other players, seen things, hard things etc. and should be able to voice it with out having the thread deleted closed or blocked.

PS thanks for the heads up Stickybuds, i make sure my toons are no longer AFK in HoH

Harney wrote:There are three sides to every story, as a general rule bringing something like xxxx trained me to the forums is a bad way to go about bringing light on to a situation that needs attention. You're probably just going to stir up drama and derail the thread, a PM to the person involved or to the staff is the preferred method of handling something like this.

You are correct, we much rather a PM or a ingame petition or even a /tell.

The staff did get involved though. It is not bad when someone does something incorrect, no one is perfect. However, when the person then has a very bad attitude and lines are crossed we have to step in, especially if the bad attitude is toward one of the staff.

Believe me, the part we hate the most of our "job" is to ban or suspend people. I srsly hate that. Unfortunately some people do not learn, or like to troll. I am sure I speak from all of the GMs and Devs when I say we won't tolerate bad attitude.

We are here to have fun, let's keep drama and crap elsewhere.

I won't derail this thread any longer :p

Whilst i dont really care what happened, i will still voice an opinion as i'm bored shitless waiting for my wife to come home with my new daughter.

Calling someone out on the forum is simply wrong. Take it to tells, pm, or my preference - ventrilo where you can speak man to man with no ambiguity or mis-intepretation.

If the shit cant be sorted out and there is no conclusion, then raise it again privatley to a GM who can get involved and look to sort it out. But if its a petty issue like "someone ksed my sarnak" dont bother. So be sensible about it.

As Harney says, anyone can say anything about anyone on the server. It could well be the truth, but likewise it could also well be bullshit.

From experience, and i've had a ton of issues to sort out between the GMs, Progeny, Play Better, Imperium, Harney, Lillu, Tyler, and various other cretins. Shit the list feels endless. You will not find a single post of these issues on the forums because its done privatley (happy to be proven wrong).

Even in real life, advising someone behind closed doors is the best thing to do, one you maintain respect between both parties and secondly, most importantly the advise is more likely to be taken.

What's happened here by calling someone shows lack of understanding, leadership and is absolutely the wrong way to go about rectifying the situation.

Take the advice if you want but i'm sure most sensible people would agree with what i say.

One final thing, apologies to Bront for a massive derail of his thread from various people.

I would create a new thread if i was you so its a clear focused discussion.

I'll leave it to you to decide

Locked the thread.

1. Don't take drama to the forums or OOC. Send a PM to a GM or in-game and he'll deal with it.
2. We won't tolerate camp-jumpers, trainers, etc.
3. None have to warn the community about these people since they will get banned in no time eventually if they get reported the proper way.

Please, play nice and legit, that's all we ask. Remember that we come here to relax and have fun, even the staff. <3
