Ok, so last week my guild made our first attempt at DSK tier 2 and we successfully killed everything except xeru (we haven't made key yet). The visath fight was universally considered boring on that run through, it went approximately as follows...
Tell visath "protect" and mother/father spawned... we waited about 5 minutes wondering if it was broken and orcs finally popped. Killed orcs and waited what seemed like another 5 minutes, mother went active, popped the gargoyles killed them and her and waited another 5+ minutes for father to pop werewolves, another 5 minutes... seemed really drawn out...
Last night we went in later than usual and half our raid force logged for the night but we went to visath anyways, it was a boring fight last week... should be this week. Thing were very different this run and the following attempt was different as well.
First attempt was a little chaotic in that as soon as the word "protect" hit the screen orcs were on us immediately, we killed them and waited on mother. mother went active, we killed everything and waited on father... werewolves popped and halfway through killing them event failure... visath wasn't killed, everything seemed to be following what happened the previous week albeit slower for lack of dps since half our dps logged.
Second attempt went pretty much like the first except we were prepared for instant spawn on orcs and better placement for knockbacks/AE mana drain. Attempt went very very smooth, killed werewolves and staring at father waiting for him to go active and get event failure, no one felt like waiting around for a 3rd attempt.
So, I'm confused... are we running into a bug, is it WAI and we aren't killing as fast as we should? if so why is mother/father standing idle for minutes between waves? was last weeks run the bugged one and this is how it's supposed to be?
Any clarification or insight into what's going on or what we're doing wrong would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kelban
