Nadox Portal

HoH remains sadly a zone to be avoided in the evening and all weekend when there are 40 plus characters in zone. Generally a few trips to character select are needed to get into Nadox.

So I'd like to suggest again (I know it is not an original suggestion) that it would be great to have a Nadox portal in Guild Halls. Perhaps could use messenger already in Guild Halls: say Nadox to him or say Halls of Honor.

A Nadox portal would have two ameliorating effects:

1. Avoids Lag and character select screens if you are going to Nadox.
2. Avoids having a raid running through the HoH zone and burdening the lag even more when they are present for the folks trying to do things in HoH

I agree with Rafe on this one, going into HoH to get to Nadox with the lag seems to have gotten worse and a direct port there from GH would possibly help deal with some of the lag happening in HoH.

Agreed on the Nadox porter. That would reduce some of the unnecessary traffic into/out of the zone. I'd guesstimate that roughly half of the lag I get in HoH is due to people zoning their massive box armies in/out of the zone repeatedly. It's clearly visible that when someone does this it sends a devastating wave of lag throughout the zone that lasts for quite a bit of time. You can see it by either having one toon parked near the entrance and watching the 18+ players zone in all at the same time, or by doing frequent /whos and watching the numbers before/after a spike. And I know that these people don't do it to be malicious. They do it because that's how they want to play, and HoH is set up in a manner that requires people zone into it frequently due to the instances/portal to nadox. But knowing this doesn't keep me from muttering under my breath "Do you really need to box 20 groups?!" when I get hit by one of those massive spikes :P

Heck, last night I was thinking that I really wished that you wouldn't be allowed to bind in HoH. Almost everyone who's t8 flagged binds here, simply for the reason they can mass TL to bind from inside instances to quickly get to another instance. However, this also means that if you wipe somewhere else with no intention of doing anything HoH related, you lag the zone without much reason. The only major drawback of removing bind from the zone would be having to zone an extra time to rush to that next boss, but that could be alleviated by adding a purchasable low cost (1k points?) clicky item similar to the vale token that could gate you back to the entrance.

Any Messenger of Lord Drizku will be able to send you to Nadox after the next reboot. You will still of course have to have the flag from Xeru.

The Guild Hall: Messenger of Lord Drizku allows me to travel to either zone.

The Forest: Messenger of Lord Drizku still lists only HoH for me.

Probably cause he said would take a reboot. Guild hall being a non static zone probably spawned with the new code already.

Absolutely super. Thanks so much, this will help a lot.

Along the lines of Rude comments, telling messenger name of HoH events to zone in would also help and eliminate most rationales for binding in HoH.

I only have my main bound in HoH because you can have quite a mess if a few of your characters die, they reappear at bind, and then you tell all your characters to attack a mob on the other side of HoH.
