PoFire

Tonight, shortly after we defeated Jaxolix Dawneyes, the zone crashed due to an unknown error. Unfortunately, it crashed less than 1 minute after we killed Jax, and when it came back up, and we all zoned back in, the corpse had poofed. Fang of Flame and Spell: Chaotic Thoughts dropped and no one looted (didn't even start dkp bids). Such a shame. =(

Would it be in any way possibly for us to be reimbursed for the loss?

I officially hate PoFire. The lag is intense for most of us, with buggy aggro.

Quavonis was attemted again, same results. Saw shadowsteps across the zones nearly halfway between c1 and c2. We even attempted pulling to a new location, and hiding from the AE. It could be charmed pets that are causing trouble for us, I just don't know. In any case, I don't plan on going back to PoFire for quite some time. Between zone crashes, getting shadowstepped much further than normal, and the overall difficulty for us, I just don't think we're ready for it. Much too frustrating to even talk about it at the moment....although I might as well.

The two birds who charm are interestingly fun fights. Problem is, though, that the charm seems to whipe aggro completely to whomever is tanking, causing the melee dps to quickly die as soon as a tank is charmed. Almost impossible to build up enough aggro after charm wears to keep the birds from going after the melee dps first. Even with two tanks, it's nearly impossible to keep aggro the entire fight on one or the other tank. Either that, or the time spent being charmed is causing the melee dps to get ahead on the aggro list due to the tank generating no aggro during charm. In any case, difficult for sure. Nevertheless, we still managed to defeat both birds, as well as Quavonis (thanks to enchanter charmed pets). For the effort involved, it's just not worth it for us to go back there at this point.

Maybe if we can find ST key droppers up, we can properly gear up before we go back to PoFire for revenge....that may take us a couple months though, at this rate.

Oh, and please turn of weather effects in pofire.

First off, rain in the plane of FIRE? Makes no sense...

Secondly, it causes some SEVERE lag.

Even with 4 tanks (Jeido, Kain, Sarc, and Kilmer) we've had some DPS die if the charm happens fast enough in a row, but typically 4 is more than enough. One time (with our full raid) we even nearly wiped because of the DPS slaughter, but our cleric team had enough mana to keep Kilmer up while some (I don't know who, maybe only Kilmer?) finished off the last 5%. That was an amazingly fun fight. Secrets watched that one :) It just takes one slight mishap or lack of attention on the heal team to wipe on that fight - constantly assisting and reassisting helps and it's hard to box if your main job is healing.

QFT ... and thanks Lillu :)

Is that really an issue? How many keys do you have now? How many are still missing? I don't think Evolution is still actively going for them as they don't drop any loot. No idea tbh, that's why i ask.

I think a few people are killing for fragments, but for the most part I think the ST key dragons are untouched by us. We do have people who are able to kill them by themselves, but as far as an organized attempt, I've not seen anything during my online time at least.

I would say that for us, it took pretty close to a month before we had anything decent enough to attempt ST and that was with a fairly consistent killing schedule - mostly enabled by Jeido and company as he'd usually flag one of his toons and anyone else who happened to be online at the time.

Ok, does killing Fragment mobs really prevent anyone from getting ST Keys?

Absolutly not but I will let them answer.

Not sure also if Relentless Vision is able to kill ST Key droppers dragons (and indeed hunt them for), maybe Tiril can give input on that.

In that case only (2 guilds hunting key droppers) it would make sense to review repop timers on Dragons, otherwise that's just normal THF progression through ST.

No. I just mentioned that since it is the same zone for 2/4 of the ST key droppers.
