Christmas mob : The abominable snowman

Hi,
I just kill that guy a few hours ago and I noticed something.
When the fallen spirit pops, it tells you to get him a .... of tundra so he can sacrifice himself to lower the protection of the abominable snowman.
I went at the entrance of the cavern and I looted on the ground the piece you need for the warlock in everfrost.
Is everything normal ? as it's my first catch on that guy, I just want to be sure
