On a full wipe if you have the robot set to follow, it just casually roams to a spot on the map where you can't get it.

Could we possibly have something added to the gnome to summon it back to him?

You can control Robot without targeting or being near him, with just saying the Keywords in say.
Like follow,harvest etc.
