Here is another idea for a new, unused, unique zone and a way to implement it...
The Plane of War.
This zone is great, it is like a huge arena that was never populated with mobs. SOE was going to have RZ spawn here, but changed him back to spawning in Drunder.
Picture zoning into the PoWar on the edge of the vast empty battlefield. The only other NPC in the whole zone is in the middle, a level 1 'Child of Rallos Zek'. Hailing him would give some back story about how he wants to be like his father and someday rule. Of course that means he is going to need some experience, and that means your going to have to keep him alive so he can get some battle experience. Think ring of fire, after a series of waves a boss comes out that drops loot. If the child dies during the wave, no boss pops and no loot. If the party/raid survives the round with child in tack, then he gains a few levels in strength and a new round begins.
And since this place is huge, you wouldn't be confined to have just small orcs or razorfins, you could have an army of giant sized halflings, the SK skellys on horseback from TT, have one wave all the boss mobs from Vex Thall (with Aten being supersized), then all the gods from PoTimeb for the next (Quarm could be sized to take up half the pit, that be kool).
I'm thinking at the end of 15 or 20 waves, the 'Child of Rallos Zek' has grown from his level 1 self into 'The Heir of Rallos Zek', a level 80 supermob that thinks it can take out anything, starting with your raid. Beating him would get ppl a new title and crazy loot.
Anyway, this zone could also be used for groups wanting to test their metal. Augs and loot would drop off of the boss at the end of each wave, and probably the first 4 or 5 rounds would be doable by a good group. A full blow raid would be needed to see if they can get the child all the way to level 80 (and then fight him for some uber loot, think dainx2).
Let me know what you think and if this is even doable...
