Walling mobs in ToV

I know the recent change to map files was supposed to have caused all the bad pathing of mobs being pulled into walls and agroing the whole zone and I know it's been reversed... it's definitely better than it was yesterday but it's still worse than it was before the initial change.

Some mobs still wall and fall through the world where none did at all before.

Often this happens when you're carefully drawing the mob back to camp, yet it steams off into a wall at right angles and disappears, bringing half the zone with it soon after (or disappearing for ages and then warping to you ages later).

Something's still up. Worst offenders are the wurms. The other big give-away is the pathing around the hub, where before drakes used to just follow you in a direct line off the top (if you dropped down) but now they resolutely follow a path all around the top of the hub, then down the stairs.

Now, this ain't so bad but it's an indication that ToV has not been reversed; the mobs never did this before, until yesterday and they're still doing it now.

Spoke to Lillu in game and it appears to now have been resolved. Doing a little more testing of some "problem" wurms and will post to confirm :)

Thanks, Lillu.

Edit: Yeh, all seems to be how it used to be :)

I checked the pathing from the hub to aary where we had major issues when it changed and everthing seemed to be back to normal, but when i got back on a few ago i seen percolater just wiped from a drake that pathed and brought most of east side down on him on the west side so its still buggy i guess.

If you were still in the zone at the time of the fix then it's possible you would have needed to reset the zone.

We have yet to pull West since the fix which presented a few wall dashing mobs so we can try again later.

I've always had problems with the mobs at the hub... whenever I pull the ones near the north and east doors, they always disappear beneath, and only one (out of two or three or four) would path normally. They usually don't pop back up, and when the healer starts healing, the other mobs (that disappeared) will agro, usually causing a wipe (cuz tank can't see/hit on mobs underneath)

I usually just run to their spawn spot so that they don't move and kill them there.

That was the fix at the time. Not required now as the problem has been fixed and the mobs path directly to your location no matter where you pull them.

That's a workaround, NOT a fix to the pathing issue. A tank that doesn't have full Tier2 gear and at least 250AAs won't have that option of tanking 4 tov mobs at once (with only one healer, and assuming his def discs are on timer).

You could also just pull them back to the center of the hub, because once they get past the bridge they pop up above the world. I know this bugs annoying though, I hated it, but pathing like that isn't an easy fix =p

I think the pathing issue is now fixed... I was just there the other day and they seem to be fine now.
