Vulak spawn

Vulak is on a 48-hour spawn cycle.
Sleeper is on a 24-hour respawn timer, so are Fennin & Xegony.

Vulak drops are not that great. Plenty of people are in need of vulak tokens now that the drop rate has been adjusted (as regularly seen in ooc).

Any chance we can put him in a 24-hour spawn cycle too?

Nope. ToV is intanced. With a single Vulak kill, you can get 18 flags for new guild members and thats more than enough, specially that according to you ("Vulak drops are not that great") and players aren't killing him for his loot, so it's not a contested mob either.

Good point. But he now only has a 50% chance to drop one token (instead of a guaranteed 2). The 18 flags is 1/2 of what you need for PoAir (not ST), right? Plus Sleeper is also instanced, same as Vulak.

As for the Vulak drops, they are nice compared to the rest of NToV drops. But once you start comparing them to ST items (even ones from named much easier than Vulak), they are a bit inferior. Take for example the Vulak belt vs. Progenitor belt. Which would I rather have on my warrior? Answer is pretty obvious.

It would have been nice if the Vulak items have perhaps an additional type1 aug slot.... since all the other boss drops have two type8s. They wouldn't be rotting that much anymore. IMHO

yep, and I belive that 2 Vulak kills to flag 36 players is totally fine.

Okay, I give up on the adjustment to 24-hour respawn.. I guess 48-hours is fine like you said. It still bothers me though that from Vulak (a major boss), his drops are still going to rot for a guild that is already doing ST.

There are plenty of Tier6 geared players that are still sporting Sleeper items like the shield, ring, earring, hammer, etc. because of the dual slot8 augs. But not the same case for Vulak... everything in ST is an upgrade to his drops. Adding a type-1 aug slot might be a good idea to make his drops useful again, Vulak is still a boss and a badass one if you aren't ST geared.

If that means making Vulak a little tougher than what he is right now, I'm all for it. Add another 1 million HP, make him worth the kill for a 48-hour respawn boss.

I'll be honest, I can't even follow anymore what you are asking here. Vulak is fine, ToV is intanced and everything is working fine in ToV for many many months now as intended.

Not sure I understand the issue. Vulak drops aren't good enough so make him spawn more often? You are more likely to get the other mobs set to spawn less often which I would not be overly happy about.

Why would you need vulak everyday if he doesn't drop anything you want?

^ It really isn't a big deal, I just find it odd that Vulak isn't in line with the other bosses. He is on a 48-hour respawn while Sleeper is 24.... both are instanced. Both drop backflag tokens. Sleeper drops items that can last you even if you are already in PoFear (Tier6). Vulak drops are obsolete the moment you start killing ST named mobs (Tier3).

In short, Vulak is nothing special for a Tier boss, his drops aren't special... he ain't worth the kill for a 48-hour wait... except for the required 1/2 flag. I just wish he was otherwise, make him a little tougher (add 1Million HP?), make him worth the wait... give his drops a little more usefulness. Adding a Type1 aug won't be game-breaking, and it'll be somewhat inline with the rest of the higher Tier boss drops (all of which have 2 type8s). That's not that hard to understand, right?

-edit- I now realize why Lillu wants to retain the 48-hour respawn and that is very acceptable. But Vulak items can use a little loving... Vulak needs to be something special too, just like the other tier bosses. Make a poll, see what others think.
