Ascent

Heya!
Thanks for The Ascent. From the time i've spent there I've had a blast.
The drops are overly useful and reward somewhat blows risk out of the water.
I really wanted to key my group and bring them past the first bridge but i've noticed that the drop rate is ~3% on marks to progress. I plan to bring a group of ~4 people up to the top but I've hit a wall with being able to key everyone. I've spent 2 days killing only spiders and have had no luck with drops. Resetting zone gets annoying.
Its understandable that a zone should have a certain level of exclusivity, especially when loot drops are so rewarding, however it feels unattainable.
With the few number of mobs that spawn and their long-ish respawn rate it feels more like a bummer grind with little to no hope of getting beyond the first area. I'm not asking for an overhaul, but possibly a small changes to make the zone more attractive.
Could we either add more mobs/clusters or increase respawn rate? an alternative would be in increase Mark drop % by a small amount.
Is anyone else frustrated about their Ascent progression?
