Temple of Solusek Ro Mob Kill credit range

The range for getting credit for Mob Kills for the Burning Prince Quest is very small. For most if not all other zones I have experienced I can sit my toons at the zone in point and get credit for group or raid kills anywhere in zone.

Tonight when I cleared the Temple of Sol Ro zone I didn't get credit for several mobs on a few toons in the group on that quest. They were not very far from the mob, maybe 100 yards away, and didn't get credit for the kill. Cost me the Prince kill tonight.

Can this be fixed and brought in line with other zones please?

I would assume the kill quests like the previous quests needs to be on the mob's aggro list to get credit. It happened to me on my charm quest 7.0, the Epic 2.0 ToV kills as well. Same happened on Kael kill quest, and on Potactics some of my characters are way behind those who are doing the actual kill or are in melee range. Sucks but I think that is how the mechanic works.

That is not how the Headhunter quest works(worked) so I wasn't sure. I sat a few toons at the zone in to get them credit for those Headhunter kills. I specifically remembering doing this for my bard in Sebilis as I didn't want to ruin his faction at the time.

I just thought all kill quest mechanics would work similarly.

Thanks for clarifying though

the Guk Orb of Spirits quest works just fine leaving them at zone in.

Was able to get all my toons their orbs by sending 1 toon down and slaughtering while the others sat at zone in. Granted that trash mobs and not boss mob updates.

Back in August they made this change:

Changed how Kill Merit is awarded when in raids. The new system requires that players who are in a raid be on the NPC's hatelist in order to receive kill credit when the NPC dies. This means that if you are in a raid, you will have to actively engage the NPC in order to get task/kill quest updates. This new system is managed by zone, and is turned OFF (meaning the pre-change rules apply) in Halls of Honor and Nadox.

So it might be that Sol Ro has it turned on.
