there's nothing specificly wrong with the SK 1.5 however i think the 1.5 would serve a purposeful role if it were converted to a 1her (of course stats changed appropiately) mainly because SK are intended as a tanking class not a dps class, and there is a hefty loss of hp,ac,resists by ditching 1her/shield for it(*). anyways just my 2 cents on the issue.

-also side note, what i've noticed at least for iksar is the 1.5 already uses 1her attack animation-



*when compared to knight 1her/shield from seb.

Is this the role of an SK on this server? I know on other servers certain classes have been tailored to do certain roles, like warriors being the only class able to tank in raid encounters (on other servers that I have played on). Have classes or encounters been tailored in a similar fashion here?

Coming from live, and knowing that aa's/gear on EQMU are a hybrid of old and newish and content can change the roles found on live, I've seen SK's in the top 3 dps on raids, while also able to tank certain encounters, though not both at the same time obviously.

Is the 1.5 different here than from live?

yes the stats are different but it severely lacks to change SK into a dps class, however from my understanding SK are intended as tanks mainly because SK set gear primary attributes are stats such as avoidance, shielding, spell shielding, stun resist. rather than other stats for dpsing. however thats mearly based on assumption based on SK set gear from kael (havnt seen any pieces from ToV for SK yet).

Not sure really, original Epic weapons are two handers also and i tihnk for a reason. Not saying that i wouldnt change it to a 1h weapon. On the other hand, i could just add some more ac to it and then you could tank and dps.

Would that be an option?

Ok - i edit both SK and Pal 1.5 to the following:

160 AC, 30 Avoidance, 5 Shielding and 10 Strikethrough.
Item Change -> Reload needed
Spell Change -> Reload AND new Spellfile needed

np - probably will upgrade it further, 1h weapon has usually 30-40 ac, shield 90-100, so 140 ac should be granted. but since it's epic weapon 160 might be too low still.

I'll think about it.

55 AC on brutal sword of the knight (seb crypt.... harbinger or was it arch duke i forgot)

175 AC on both now. I consider these 2 swords done now :)
