I am MIA since one month now but still following what are the class upgrades.
I definitly think that wizards still need a UP but also fix:
Mana flare conflict with Ro's familiar
Frienzed devastation + upgrade's AA
..maybe more...

I will not be able to test, espescially as new spells are added via LDON I do not like at all, bad for me.

(Regarding quick spell damages, I really think that item clickies manafree (from ToV, ST maybe more in higher tiers) is a good deal between Chaoic detonation or Ether casts high nukes) - just click more often on the clickies while doing trash. It is part of manapool control).

Btw, glad to see you are still working on Wizards upgrade.

Finally came back to THF and tested with Chaotic detonation nuke.
Result is nice, even if i did not get lucky on critic for this parse.

I twist 1 chaotic detonation (23K normal/ 51K critic & 1 clicky (Writ of dragon kind 3K normal / 6K7 critic). Self buff (+ bot devotion we always have) - True fire focii & epic 2.5 - result is published when oom.

Adding my Bard toon with Ancient call of power. I twist 1 chaotic detonation (24,5K normal/ 55K critic & 1 clicky (Writ of dragon kind 3K225 normal / 7K215 critic). Self buff (+ bot devotion we always have) - True fire focii & epic 2.5 - result is published when oom.

(Absolutly no luck on critic which results with les DPS)

Bard never helped me to do more dps than I did self buff. I did more dmg with song but clearly less critics.
IS there any conflict between Ancient call of power and critic mod ?

Btw, this new spell is good upgrade. We still need to compare with Rog/monk who do not suffer from mana issue (I am oom after 2 min then I can clic Elem shoes for 2 more min then oom. I.e I am usefull for 4min 20)

Maybe you could create an upgrade from writ of dragonkind (WIZ only) via drop or quest which would allow to keep a decent dps casted between 2 chaotic detonation ((Writ of dragon kind 3K normal / 6K7 critic self buff - True fire focii) for 2 sec casting is far from 5K dps of chaotic non crit). Once you compare with highest melees DPS parses, it could THE solution to help Wizards being on top. Fact is we need to use clickies between 2 Chaotic Detonations.

I would add that I get True focii (80%) and a good clicky. I really do not know what I could have to do much more Dps. 5I know that manapool would help to last at least 2min30/3min instead of 2). Wizards do not get a lot of benefit from gear regarding Dps, we need to find an other way if those parses are stil far from High end rogues/monks where weapons/augs/gear do the Dps.

Also, need to see Mages parses+pet now they have been upped a lot

Thanks Loly - 4.5k dps on Average seems a good step in the right direction. Will see about the Writ upgrade and welcome back

p.s. try to get the new Spells first - Maelstrom of Power should be a nice upgrade for you, at least the Rank II version.

Conclusion: more DPS with bard because i got more lucky on Chaotic detonator critics than Writ "firebane" critics (bard's song doesn't help much more now see below).
Need to do more parses to reflect actual Dps (without bard but cannot atm).

As you can see, The ancient call of power effect is not working correctly

It seems that we have an issue with % now. Ancient call of power isn't working properly anymore (cap issue maybe?)
