This is the current ranger Donation weapon. The weapon is great, but I have to ask about the click-effect. It summons swarm pets, that even on blue cons only hit for 53 damage a swing at best. This is considered on line with the Proc-buffs rangers can use, thus overwriting using another. My concern with this is, even with 5 pets out at once, which was the most Ive seen come out, thats still only 265 damage every few seconds.
With Call of Lightning, level 70 ranger self-proc buff, The proc works on almost every attack due to gear bonuses, and with focus it deals over the 265 damage per proc-effect/per-attack.
I only bring this up as, the donation sword for rangers is down to a stat-stick. I see very few main rangers on, so I dont want to sound like Im just in this for myself, but rangers are designed around their bow.
Below is a comparison of the click effects vs the Ranger 2.0:
Sword of the Pathfinder
Name: Call of the Pathfinder
******************************************
1 : Effect type : Add Proc:Pathfinder's Friends
*******************************
Name: Pathfinder's Friends
*******************************
1 : Effect type : Summon Pets: SwarmPetRanger
******************************************
Full name : SwarmPetRanger
Level : 55
Race : Wolf Elemental
Class : Ranger
Health points : 1
Damages : 32 to 70
HP regen : 0 hp per tick
Mana regen : 0 mana points per tick
Special attacks : Immune to fleeing
Note: While the pets do have the ability to cast spells, and occasionally do so, Ive never seen it come down to where its helped that they cast a spell, nor could I see what they cast.
Ancient Frozen Heartwood Blade:
Name: Falcon Strike
*****************************************
Casting time : 0 sec
Recovery time : 0 sec
Recast time : 0 sec
Range : 0
Target : Self only
Resist : None (adjust: 0)
Duration : 8 min (80 ticks)
10 : Effect type : Increase Chance to Critical Hit by 170%
11 : Effect type : Increase All Skills Damage Modifier by 35%
**************************************************
This is copied off the clone before youve done the changes, but still...I think its kinda obvious.
Just for an example of click effects. I went thru the other melee DPS classes, basing from them since Ranged or Melee, the damage from rangers is a physical type, they were as follows:
Berserker:
Name : Berserker Power
Range : 100
Target : Self only
Resist : None (adjust: 0)
Duration : 3 min (30 ticks)
Spell Effects
1 : Effect type : Increase All Skills Damage Modifier by 25%
Rogue:
Spell Description
Name : Bleeding Edge
Range : 200
Target : Single target
Resist : Magic (adjust: -400)
Duration : Instant
Spell Effects
1 : Effect type : Decrease Hitpoints by 550
Monk:
Name : Mind and Body
Range : 0
Target : Self only
Resist : None (adjust: 0)
Duration : 12 sec (2 ticks)
Spell Effects
8 : Effect type : Increase All Skills Damage Modifier by 135%
9 : Effect type : Increase All Skills Minimum Damage Modifier by 500%

Since this is getting very long, Ill conclude with any change to the Ranger Donation Sword click effect will be great, anything but a swarm pet which does less damage then the Damage Shields I wear.
Thank you for reading this.
