Donator weapon compared to high end weapon

This thread was made because I believe the gap between high end weapons has gotten on the level of donator weapons, and in some cases are better than donator weapons. This post is a request for type 18 slots to be added to donator items so they maintain an edge over the top of the line DS weapons. It has been stated that donator weapons will always be the best in the game, this isn't a place to discuss wether or not they should be. Constructive feedback always appreciated.

Ok, so below are 2 of the best weapons in the game, and the donator warrior sword ( which is 5 damage above some of the other donator weapons, ie rogue ).

Image

Will start from left to right.

84/20 ratio with the best possible augs ( there is an exception to be made here, because the xegony type 4 aug that I have in my warrior sword is actually the best type 4 aug, but it is lore ). This weapon would be 89/20 if you put the xegony aug in to it. The weapon has two kiss of life procs ( 350 dd, 350 heal ) a kiss of life II proc ( 500dd, 500 heal ) and a 100dd aug.

This puts the weapon at 89/20 ( will use the xeg aug for comparisons sake ) with 1300 DD and 1200 self healing.

The donator sword is 101 / 20, although if you were comparing the rogue donator, it would be 96 /20. That puts the rogue donator a whole 7 damage ahead of the haunted knuckles / blade. There is no type 30 aug with a DD that can be obtained for anyone but pal/sk/ber. The procs on the donor sword is 300dd + 300dd + 350dd 350heal. That puts the warrior sword at 950dd 350 heal. The rogue / monk donor would be at 325dd + 350dd 350 heal 350 dd 350 heal making it 1025dd / 700 heal.

So for 7 more damage, the donor will proc 275 less dd and you'll receive 500 less points of healing off of the procs. Doesn't seem like a great trade off to me.

The last weapon I'll compare is the venium, the drachnid fang which is a weapon from a DS encounter. 83/21 with a shitty bane that no one probably cares about. the procs are 1294 dd, 350dd 350 heal 100dd and 500dd 500 heal which puts the total procs at 2244 dd and 850 heal.

I think we can all agree that the augs that you can put in the weapons I link are what makes the weapons better than the donator. The donator has 3 aug slots, but honestly the type 30 is the biggest setback for the donator, not receiving any proc at all is a huge detriment when comparing it to other weapons with 3 aug slots. The type 17/18 augs that are in game right now include 8 damage 65hp 500 dd / 500 heal and then vaion just introduced two augs that have 600dd procs on them.

My suggestion is to add a type 17 or 18 ( they are basically the same slot ) to the donator weapons to allow them to maintain an edge over the high end weapons.

Adjustments are being made to DS weapons so they are not stronger than Donator. Topic closed.

Still doesn't change the fact that the haunted weapon is = or > the donator weapon.

Haunted weapons are great indeed, but pretty hard to get one from the casino, specially if you are after a specific one. Donator weapons will be upgraded soon when we work on 3.0s and the new raid tiers (this was already announced).

I hope none is in a rush because it's all planned and will be balanced. We just can't upgrade full custom weapon sets weekly. So patience please.

Thanks for your concerns Harney, always appreciate it.
