Bards and your favorite songs

Heyas. I've dabbled with a bard on live, and revived him here as the 5th in my regular group. Currently I just have him use ldon and haste my war/rog/rng. I've been using cleric bot lately since I've been pushing my group/tank to move along in progression, and always drag that scrawny cleric Zollzz around, mostly cause I have hopes he can tinker me something usefull one day.. gearlock campfire starter, Automated sword sharpener(buff to raise min dmg /grin)... Anyhow, I figure, if I get my gameface on, I would melody haste/regens/ac/procsong of some sorts, but yas have to keep in mind that this fella just witnessed Emporer SSRA dying, so he is still a noob. 8-) albiet a rockstar none the less.

Questions, for those that wanna share, whether it be a story relevant to bardsong, or plain ole situational strategy, ... Whats your favorite single song to play, favorite melody combo, or maybe any interesting ideas for songs? How affective are the resist songs(useful for mitigating spell dmg on bosses/dragons?), and is there one that can help ae raid? Is there a great need for mass group buff for bard?

I leveled a bard just to see if they were usefull.
and I must admit this is one of the best class on this server. Bard add a LOT of dps to the group with their songs.
and as song I play . I start by castin the ToV leggings ( 2min DD proc ) and then twist betwin dmgshield/resist , regen, spell dmg boost and haste.

Good info, thanks. Just got my bard tov flagged, so its good to know at least one of his pieces will be a useful upgrade. Have you actually seen the resist song help mitigate spell dmg? or is that a just positive addon to a ds song you would have normally chosen to include?

Your resist are maxed once you are t3/4 geared , so I dunno if it really matter but I'm pretty sure the server cap isn't really clear :p
I know it helps some and it's always cool to have a lil dmg shield/ ac boost ( think the song has a 20 ac boost or something )

/nod . Yeah, my questions underlying theme was in the realm of server resist cap info and whether or not the server mob to resist was in reasonable enough balance to mitigate at least a little of the casting dmg. How bout that mass group buff for bard. Is there a great need/use for it? I could seee maybe spouting off a mass rune, invulnerable or somesuch buff at the right time could be handy.

sorry to bump a oldish thread but reading back the last couple pages to see whats newish and saw this and wanted to say that this is the only EMU server to give the bard class some serious love.
It is one of the best things about THF. No class is useless or ignored.
Maybe the only other server out there that can claim to give equal and fair love to all the classes is Shards of Dalaya.

I played a bard on live up to maybe 50's. Selo's Song of Travel was the shit! It was the most useful song ever. I miss moving at light speed...
